I ordered two face cords of wood 2 weeks ago. When it was delivered(2days agao) it arrived soaking wet and covered in mud. Not only does it burn poorly because of how wet it is the mud covering it is slowing down the drying process in my garage. As an added bonus just to bring wood in I get to spend awhile trying to knock off mud and getting filthy in the process of carrying it in.When asked if the wood was seasoned i was told, more or less" not sure what that means but i don't believe I will be ordering from this company again.Edit to respond: lol but soaking wet and caked in mud is okay. Nothing in this response changes my opinion of your low quality."

Bad customer service and poor wood quality.Customer service:I had an appointment scheduled less than a week after I ordered. I was initially impressed with how quickly I was able to be scheduled for a delivery. Then, I was called the day before with a confirmation that my order would be delivered the following day between 11 and 4. The day of delivery (4 pm) I called asking if my order was still being delivered. I was told that there was a problem and it wouldn't be delivered. The seemingly disinterested lady said she would call me back in the next few days to reschedule. A week went by with no follow up phone call. I called back and left my name and number. 2 days went by and no return phone call. I called again and was greeted by the same disinterested woman. She could no longer find my order but scheduled me again.Then gentleman that delivered the firewood was kind and professional and the best part about ordering from this company. Now for the wood.Wood quality:Simply put, soaking wet. I have proper air flow and can start (with great effort) a fire with the delivered wood. However, burning firewood is not supposed to sound like boiling water.Overall: 2 stars. For the price there is much better wood and businesses in the area. I would not recommend this business to anyone that isn't in a pinch.

Ordered five 8-month seasoned face cords of wood at $81/fc in early November. Delivery took awhile but I wasn't concerned because the wood needed a few more months to season before I could burn it. Wood was delivered and it was probably the dirtiest wood I've ever received. Nice mix of hardwoods but man, it was muddy. Got it stacked after a few weeks and it came up short by about 2/3 of a face cord. I called and spoke to Carla on 12/29/14. She requested measurements of all stacked piles and I provided such same day. She said she would talk to Lou and get back to me. It is now 1/27/15. I never heard back so I just called and left a message for them to cut me a check for $40. I will update this review based on what happens here.

Great service. Over the summer we purchased a house with the wood burning stove and obviously it needs wood. I called on a Saturday morning and 2 and 1/2 weeks of later I had the wood I needed for the season. Price was fair and customer service was great. Shout out to the sweet gentleman who brought us our wood on Halloween :)

I ordered the garden mix, the delivery time was alright and the price was ok, but upon closer inspection of the garden mix, I found an immeasurable amount of little pieces of plastic throughout. Looks like the compost came from the dump.

Unfortunately I can’t make this up, see the photos for confirmation that “concrete pads” don’t keep wood dry. FOAMING AND STEAMING, but supposedly well seasoned wood. Delivery was on time but wood was soaked beyond just being done on a rainy day. The wood has been in a dry garage for two weeks and is still saturated. Every piece we’ve put in the stove has fizzled like the one pictured below. Won’t be using their services again as this is the opposite of ideal wood to burn.

Buyer BEWARE!!! Ordered 5 face chord of wood and at best we received 4 face chord. I contacted the company July 27th and explained the situation and sent pictures along with measurements. Then on August 17th, I sent measurements again as requested by the owner. Here we are August 27th and no response back from Lou.

Our farm ordered around 15 yards of garden soil from Northern Firewood. The ONLY positive thing is that the delivery went as expected. The garden soil itself? Absolute GARBAGE!!! There are literally chunks of colored hard plastic, soft plastic, pieces of glass, clumps of fibers, metal, and other various debris all throughout! There is also more chunky wood in this alleged soil" than the mulch I recently ordered from a different company! Needless to say

Family member bought 10 cords in august, ended up with a big pile of chunks of wood, wood from pallets, and even a big rock.

Shorted us 1.5 face cord of the 5 we ordered. Then didn’t resolve issue after video was sent, just didn’t respond to emails anymore. Wood quality was terrible - most of it was soaked, muddy and barely seasoned, if at all. Had worst time starting fires with it and we are experienced wood stove operators. The excuse they give for other bad reviews is just plain nonsense.
