Tulloch Inn & Gifts

Absolutely great place to stay. Wonderful hosts and wonderful property.A very beautiful and large house with multiple rooms. The owners, an older couple, live there and are very hospitable!We stayed in the McDougall room which contains two rooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds and private washroom.Pros:- The entire house is so beautifully decorated, every corner of the house has beautiful unique and luxurious touches.- Very comfortable beds and pillows.- Hardwood floors.- Very clean house. Spotless!- Lots of space to set up a pack and play.- Beautiful gardens and lake view.- Great breakfast. We were offered scrambled eggs and bacon and asked if that's good for us. Also asked if we need anything special for the kids!- Very nice dinning room.- Our room had a jet tub!- Absolutely lovely and pleasant hosts.Cons:- No fridge or microwave in the room. Although there is a common fridge downstairs that guests can use.- Shower water pressure was pretty low.Please note there isn't anything nearby. So if you need food make sure you bring it in with you from a town nearby. The drive around the lake is beautiful.Also note that it seems there is no gift shop here anymore. I inquired about it and was told that they don't sell gifts anymore since the pandemic.Very relaxing place to wind down, enjoy nature and recharge!

Our stay here was wonderful - Keith & his wife were very hospitable (even helping us with luggage when we arrived late at night). The inn has a stunning view & is maintained beautifully. Our breakfast was delicious and Keith even went out of his way to show us details about ingredients to accommodate our diet. Tip: plan to arrive before sunset as the winding road into the inn is quite dark - highly recommend staying here during a trip to Cape Breton!

The location is off on its own with Inverness more than 20 minutes away but there really aren’t many reasonable places to stay. It’s certainly quiet although we would have liked access to the lake. The room with a king-sized bed was comfortable. A few quirks like be sure to not lock the bottom lock on your room (you don’t have a key for it), the balcony door was very tricky to open and the whirlpool bath’s on and off are odd. No WiFi.Breakfast was very good with local vegetables, very fine scrambled eggs and good toast and jelly.

We saw grouse on the gravel path heading to the house. The hosts were very nice and provided us awesome breakfast and coffee. Wifi was slow at night so plan your cellular data accordingly. Great view behind the house.

Nice place to stay. Very clean, homey atmosphere. Beds comfy. Jacuzzi tub. Beautiful view of lake. Hosts are so sweet and homemade breakfast with a fireplace going in dining room. 20 to 25 mins from inverness.

Tulloch Inn ended up being the highlight of our trip in Cape Breton. Beautiful property, comfortable and spacious rooms, a beautiful wraparound balcony over looking the lake, and the most lovely hosts. Highly recommend a stay here!

Very clean and neat place, we really enjoyed staying there. The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and super nice. The pancakes for breakfast were delicious. Also, reasonably priced!

Tulloch Inn is an incredibly lovely place to stay. They are owned by a generous and kind couple who makes sure you’re comfortable. We had a beautiful view from our balcony and an amazing spacious room. Breakfast was delicious as well! Can’t recommend this inn enough!

Wow! Such a beautiful location. This Inn is absolutely gorgeous and so full of History. Owned by an absolutely beautiful couple. All food is homemade, rooms are emaculate everything about this place is 5 star. All service on silver platters and accessories. Dishes are a story in time. They are the owners families, original dishes. Ask the hostess about her family's history it's unbelievable. I hope to come here again some day, from the views, the hospitality, and the history, don't miss out on this place.
