Good community center. It has a basketball court, swimming pool and many activity rooms. The playground outside is quite good with a nice splash pad.

Relatively new building. Nice facilities - pool, basketball court and gym with library in an adjacent building. There is water park outside - great for family and friends during summer time.

Attended this place for children swimming lesson. My child sat for 20 minutes on ledge before even jumping in the water. Not impressed with the lesson at all. The facility is nice and clean that’s about it.

This outdoor rink is definitely A-ok!There is a HUGE parking lot with a well lit pathway leading to the outdoor rink. When you arrive at the change area, you check-in with security to ensure you have booked the correct time slot (cannot have more than 25 skaters at any one time). The change area is separate into 6 tables to slap on your skates and enjoy the well groomed surface. The rink is more a square than the typical recto-oval we are all too familiar with. The organic nature this rink takes on, slight incline from the entrance to the natural obstacle course of bumps adds to the overall feel when enjoying the fresh air as you are doing laps and hit the unsuspecting speed bump to wake you up a bit.The staff are very friendly and love the high tech Zamboni that is deployed at the end of each 45 minute skating interval

Nice and new environment. The equipment in the playground are designed and suited for each and every ranges of children age. The difference with other playground is the safety. I recommend it a lot and my one year old daughter enjoyed her time a lot.

I like this community centre. It’s were my children do all their activities. Swimming, Taekewondo and soccer. The easy access to the library and the park make it a perfect place to spend time with the kids. The indoor pool is ok. Some other community centres got better ones. All in all, I like coming here.

Nice outdoor playground for kids of all ages with kid-friendly mats in the play area and a splash pad.The community center has a decent pool and other amenities. The attached pleasant ridge library is cozy and has a small play area for younger children.

North Thornhill is one of the most recently built community centres in the area and the entrance atrium is beautiful, with coloured panes of glass which reflect the light all year round. The pool is on the right as you come in, and I do aqua fit there regularly. The instructors are fantastic, the pool temperature is just right and there is a spacious hot tub as well as a children's splash/shallow pool. There areas where people play table-tennis, a swimming pool gallery, a basketball court and a small, but well-equipped gym, where small spinning and other classes are held in studios attached. The gym changing rooms are good but the whole place is badly let down by the changing areas in general - all of them. In the women's and family rooms there are only THREE private cubicles IN TOTAL (none in the women's room!), which is totally inadequate. The showers for full/gym members are fine as they can be switched on and the temperature controlled, but in the women's and family change areas they come on by faulty sensor, the shower head can't be moved and jets of water switch off after TWO seconds - hopeless for showing and also likely to get you and your towel soaking wet if you are daft enough to try and put it on in the cubicle. Goodness knows what the planners of this place were thinking either in the main changing rooms, there have been too many slips and falls to count as the tiles are too large and shouldn't have been put down. Everyone knows (I thought) that you have to have small, mosaic-like tiles where people are walking around water, to avoid slips and trips. Apparently, no one told the construction workers at North Thornhill and this must be changed before there is an even more serious accident, or even a death, there. On a more positive point, the desk and management staff there are absolutely great, as are the gym staff - you couldn't wish for a nicer team of people to look after you at this community centre.
