Bourkevale Park

Rented the Community Centre and held a meeting there it suited our purpose perfectly, I would recommend it to any Community members

I've only gone here for the dog park & it's pretty small. It does not have a tree line or fence to seperate the parking lot from the park but luckily not a high traffic area. There's a lot of distractions that could cause your dog to wander off between the playing courts & people jogging & bicycling. It's also right along the river so if your dog isn't comfortable around water you really need to keep an eye on them, which you should be doing anyways.It is a great place to go if you do have a well trained dog & you just want to relax & enjoy the outdoors with your furry friend. It's a very quiet & clean park & the people who frequent it are usually very friendly as well.

Small park by the river. Off leash dog park. Ice rinks. Lawn bowling. Soccer nets. Walking path. Greenspace.

Its a beautiful park. A lot of dogs to play with. Unfortunately I'm part of a construction company that is digging up the river bank to install a new land drainage system, and rip rap existing pipe in the bank. So if you read this the park is still open, but please avoid the parking lot/ staging area

Great off leash dog park. The area is well kept, and there were plenty of other dogs around. Enjoy this picture of my dog staring at the same squirrel, for the majority of our visit.

Great place to bring your dog to run around. A lot smaller than most dog parks. There are no fences so make sure your dog has great recall before visiting this park.Be aware though that it is located beside the river and the dogs will almost 100% jump in for a swim!In the winter the people of St. James make a river trail which is fun to walk on.

Good dog park. Dogs can swim in the Assiniboine in the summer, and a good starting point for walks in the river in winter.Added bonus: Great sledding hill for the kids and you can bring your dog.

Small park. Good skating experience! Nice to go somewhere different than the forks although the trail is shorter and the ice at one end was almost impossible to stay upright on
