I can’t even begin to say enough good things about this butcher. Everything we’ve tried from there has been amazing; the steaks, lasagna, bacon, pork, buns, coleslaw, burger patties. There’s no comparing to traditional grocery selection once you buy meat from a butcher. Everything tastes so fresh, clean and the way meat should taste. The staff are always pleasant and very helpful.

Went there with my wife and was very pleasantly surprised by the outstanding service and pristine conditions of their shop.We needed help choosing things and the staff not only was incredibly knowledge about the different meats and cuts (even knew about Brazilian Picanha that most places we go don’t), but also made sure to focus on understanding our needs!We left with an incredible Meat Pie that tasted delicious, as well as Hot Sausages that will make you want to come back for more.Thank you!

We have been customers for many years. We did wander to other providers like Costco in a pinch, but nothing comes close to the quality of the meat at Pete & Gus. Our meals actually taste much better than big box store meat. I bought a beef brisket cut for my smoker and it turned out 100%. Their bacon is to die for. Actually buy some to distribute to friends network. Feels like home to walk into the store.

Amazing butcher shop!! The quality of their food is superb. Our particular favorites are their veal rolls, california chicken, meat pies and spaghetti sauce.

I am so glad I found this place. Meat heaven should be its other name. Everyone is amazing there and they can cut meat according to your preference. I have been looking for so long for a butcher shop that has facility to provide skinless entire chicken cut to pieces and omg its so fresh as well, only way you can i think get fresher than this would be if someone was cutting a hen in front of you. But now this would be my go to place for meat . The varity they have is amazing as is evident from pictures below. This is one of the few places where you feel like you are not shopping but there to meet your family. Has that family vibe. and above all price is great as well. Anyone living in Barrhaven should atleast try them once and if you dnt like it you can give me negative browny points. I would love to have a detailed video with them asking them from where they get their meat from , what process goes into preping everyday servings. Presentation is also awesome and every piece looks perfect. This is one of the place that vegans or vegetarian people should avoid as you never know you may come out with your title changed to non veg

This shop has the best quality meat and pre made foods in Ottawa. A grocery store is like fishing in the toilet compared to this. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. The team here are very passionate about their meat.

Great local butcher shop. They helped my family source some meat for a pig roast and it was a great experience! Friendly staff and owners, we will be going back for sure.

A staple of the Barrhaven community. Expert advice, consistently superior products and that neighborhood butcher shop feel of my childhood. I can not sing their praises enough. Stop shopping at chain grocery stores and go here. Get the bacon, just get in your car and get the bacon!!

Great little meat market. Delicious roast beef, steaks, and cheese. Personally I love the ghost pepper cheddar, roast beef, and like to couple it with the fresh bread they have. Great sandwich. Highly recommend.
