High quality products, with preservative free options. Only issue is the prices are highish, but you can't complain for what you're getting.

Went here in September and grabbed a late lunch the afternoon the Queen passed away. Didn't know what to expect since we were the only ones there - but the chef whipped up a spectacular dish of duck leg confit, green beans, potatoes, and some just-foraged yellowfoot chanterelle mushrooms. Got some helpful tips on mushroom hunting in Nova Scotia that I put to good use a few days later on a camping trip. Can't recommend highly enough.

Very welcoming atmosphere, they asked us to sit well they prepared the sandwiches and gave us water while we waited even though we were getting the food to go. Definitely recommend

We love this place. My wife will frequently call in and they put together the most incredible assortment of charcuterie every time. There is always something different and exciting, it’s a fantastic food experience.

Always come to get some smoked meat and sausages. The best in Halifax, but the new bar/table is awesomePorchetta sandwich was amazing

Ratinaud has the best selection of excellent cheese from everywhere! And their selection of charcuterie that they make/cure/smoke themselves it absolutely incredible. They staff is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful in making suggestions, pairings, and portioning each item properly.
