KARARA The Indian Takeout

I ordered off skip the dishes. Almost 30 minutes later the order was not confirmed and then they cancelled my order and closed their restaurant for delivery. About five minutes later they reopened their restaurant for delivery on the skip the dishes app.They wasted my lunch hour and now I have no food to eat for the day. Very upset they did this. This was my first time ordering from this restaurant and I was excited to try their dish. I will not order again.

I frequently order from this restaurant. I get the one curry deal with butter chicken. Very flavourful and filling at a great price. Had an issue once. Called the next day and I was very pleased with the customer service. They went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Will keep ordering for sure!!

Flavor is pretty decent however Never consistent sometimes their sauces are really runny u can't even get a good protion on the nan bread to enjoy.. Use to be pretty good. The portion did get smaller since last year and the mains that comes with no nan or rice went up 3 dollars which their prices were already in the 20s plus tax.In the photo you see the containers one is at least 20 percent smaller . I had one of their takeout frozen then a couple weeks later ordered another one brought it home took the other one out and I was like wow.Uped price and also downsize the main which was already not big to begin with.Their appetizers also changed they changed containers which look bigger but I actually hold much less and uped the prices as well. Keeping quality and quantity usually should be priority for a business however they seem to focus more on the business part rather than keeping their customers happy.I mean for 2 for 1 main and 2 apps and rice and nan and a couple drinks your looking over 65 bucks plus taxes and never consistent and they keep shrinking in size .In photo there's the chat papri app with literally filled with chips and there's probably 8 to 10 little chickpeas it wasn't like that before past 3 times I had them past 3 months they are really getting tricky.

I love how tasty the food is and how much you get for the price. I only got curry dishes, like chicken tikki masala and butter chicken. Their garlic naan was very yummy, very fresh and stretchy dough. Beef were good but I got to say that it’s not as spicy as I would have liked it. I usually get some pretty good spiced ones from Mike’s at Carleton University. I’m hoping to try the vegetable pakoras next time.

No delivery. Had to pick up, soupy bowls of bland curry, cheap on rice, will not order again.

Ordered online from Westboro, picked up on time and ate immediately. Two pieces of the 1/2 Tandoori chicken were barely warm, dry and tasteless, the other two slightly better. Seemed very much like yesterday’s food. The rice with it was good. When I saw it I laughed to think I’d given them $18. Why bother, Karara?

I ordered 2 naans, 1 cheese naan and 1 amritsari naan but when I got my order I recieved 2 amritsari naan instead. I called back asking where is my cheese naan and there was a mistake. Kanwaljit, the owner I believe, said that I just checked with the chef and told me that no you did get a cheese naan. I told him again I have both of them in front of me, none of them is a cheese naan and instead of doing anything he said oh sorry I will check with the chef again. I'm like okay I just told you that it was not a cheese naan and I asked is there anything you are going to do about it. He said no uh... Sorry..uh and hung up the phone. Never had this experience at any other restaurant in this neighborhood. If you've made a mistake, please admit it and don't just dismiss what the customer is telling you. Disappointed!Edit post response from the owner::Let's look at the pictures. The first two are of the claimed cheese naan and third picture is the one from Karara website. This is false advertisement at best. I believe you are expecting customers to receive plain naan with some herbs and play Where's Waldo" to find the cheese. Clearly

Inconsistent. Sometimes the food is great. What you get is always different than what you order. Missing items…Other times the food is bland, watery, and tasteless.
