Pho Hoai Vietnamese Noodle House
The price to portion ratio is great. I got the XL and they have a generous beef portion. I came during lunch and the place is packed. They serve hot tea, nicer staff, good service. Will come back again.

I rarely write restaurant reviews, but this one is worth the time. 3 others and I were visiting Calgary from out of province, and a friend had recommended this place for authentic Vietnamese food. We were very excited to eat here as we have been eating all around Calgary to find the best spots, and this restaurant had been around for a long time with apparently a reputation for good food. Sometimes, when I go to “authentic” restaurants, they might be a hole-in-the-wall type where food quality far outweighs customer service, which to me is a fair trade off. However, I was appalled by a gentleman who was working here. He was so rude I was shocked. 3 of us ordered food as 1 of us was too horrified to eat after being mistreated by this gentleman. We tried to not to let this one gentleman ruin our experience, and I was hopeful that maybe this gentleman felt the audacity to be so rude because their food was amazing and it would be worth the verbal abuse, but the food didn’t taste very good - it was definitely not worth it. We’ve had better Vietnamese food elsewhere. Towards the end of the day, 3 of us had upset stomach except for the one friend who didn’t eat there; not sure if it’s just a coincidence. Our experience was soured and while this restaurant has a long-standing history, we do not recommend.

Best place to eat in China Town Calgary. Food is super fresh and super delicious. Huge portions too.

I love this place. They give a kettle of tea instead of water, which is very nice. Pho is delicious there. The food is served in a couple of minutes. A great place to eat in Calgary Downtown

The first sip of the soup was too salty. Think they didn’t make the broth with real beef bone but more like a lot of MSG.Quiet disappointing. Cuz we saw high ratings on Google map thought it would be authentic.Will not visit again cuz there are more good quality of pho in town.

Top notch Vietnamese food. Large portions and a little higher priced but you get what you pay for. Certainly not a great atmosphere but the service was very attentive, they brought out the salad rolls immediately and the main dishes were out about 5 min later. Kept the water full and the taste was so so good.

Hands down the BEST Pho & Pho Satay in Calgary!The spring rolls are plump, unlike a lot of restaurants cutting down on ingredients.It's always busy, so on the rare occasion you grab an open table immediately, you feel lucky.

I don't usually do 5-star but Pho Hoai deserves it for sure. Exceptional soup with depth, medium seasoned, taste of nuoc-mom and lots of aromatic herbs and easy with MSG. The temperature of the soup could be a bit hotter and side Sate was not crazy good but mala added more depth. I really enjoyed the solo meal during a biz trip and will be back. Toronto should have taste of the Calgary pho....

I did not have high expectations for pho in Calgary, but Pho Haoi had me pleasantly surprised. I ordered the rare beef pho, and the broth was incredibly flavourful with noodles with a good texture.However, the rare beef was a bit chewy and not separated well. There also seemed to be some internal staff issues, leading to a slightly uncomfortable dining experience.Broth - 10/10Noodles - 9/10Beef - 7/10

Pho Hoai Vietnamese Noodle House
Had lunch here a couple of months ago (was going through my backed up Google photos and I found these pictures). Although the space was quite cramped and all, the food was delicious! Would definitely order some take out in the future.
