Beechwood Manor

My father has been a resident in the independent living section since September, 2015. He has received excellent nursing care. The staff is friendly and helpful. The other residents are welcoming and friendly. There are a variety of recreational activities for the residents. His suite is spacious and well-maintained, with weekly cleaning services. The facility is centrally located, close to shopping malls and doctors' offices. I highly recommend Beechwood Manor if your elderly relative is looking for an independent living or assisted living facility.

My family friends parent is residing at this facility and is terribly mistreated in my opinion. They need to be carefully observed on their treatment of these vulnerable people!

Grandmother has been here for a few years and loves the staff. The facilities are well kept and residents are happy.

Under staffed, maintenance program in declining, not being sufficiently cleaned, lots of promises by ownership but slow, negligible action to implement any improvements over past 3 months. Staff are doing their best

My mother has been a resident of Beechwood Manor since 2016. Beechwood Manor has since been sold. Over the last two years the home has been in a steady decline. Currently, (April 2023) there is an outbreak of the stomach flu and upper respiratory infection. Those residents who are sick are thankfully quarentined in their rooms. My mother is one of them. I visit mom every other day. Her room is a mess. I needed gloves and sanitizers to clean up the diahrea splashes in the toilet. I removed the cold coffee, stale water, dirty Kleenex and accumulated garbage from the bathroom and kitchen. I helped her change her pyjamas. I stripped her bed linens and towels and laundered everything. I used sanitizer wipes to clean counter tops, door knobs and furniture. Nothing had been done to control the spread of germs. There was no comforting foods made available. My sister brought homemade chicken soup for her. I made a complaint to the manager and I have not received a response. I want to contact the owner or board of directors but I don't know how to contact them. I will be moving forward with my concerns for the sake of my mother and other residents.
