Charcoal Biryani
Delivered a taste of nostalgia that instantly reminded me of the flavors I grew up with. Exceptional Biriyani, and the addition of crispy onions on top was like the perfect cherry on the cake. Paired with the tasty raita and curry, it was a complete flavor explosion. If you're craving authentic biryani that feels like a warm hug, Charcoal Biryani is the place to be.

Great customer service! There is display of various real menu items at the cash counter which is helpful for the customers who are not familiar with the Indian food.Taste of food is really great! Dosa, Biryani, drinks has authentic taste! Dosa is made in front of the customer and ALL FOOD ITEMS ARE SERVED HOT!I really liked the taste of the food and the customer service here!

I got sambhar idli- 4 pieces with sambhar for $15.90 ( including taxes) the size can of the idlis were very small and not fluffy enough and the quantity of sambhar was also very less. For the quantity the price is not justified. Also the quality of coconut chutney was really bad. I also purchased aam panna ($5.65) incl taxes not very good falt as if it was very diluted.Not recommended.As a reply to the response from restaurant- you are wrong i was not the customer with 3 friends- it is not right to assume if friends are buying a meal together they are sharing it. It is a personal choice where someone may be accompanying their friends. Hence for 1 person also the price is high and quantity is less in consideration with quality. There are other restaurants in downtown toronto offering better and affordable food ( same cuisine) . Thank you

Visited this newly opened place for lunch. I must say, I really liked Dosa, it was buttery and crispy. Chutneys (green and white) were also very tasty. Sambar was not too spicy but could have been little warmed up. For those visiting during lunch time, expect longer delays particularly for Dosa as they make it fresh (which is a great thing !). I am planning to visit again to try Biryani.

Average at the best.I ordered Chicken biryani, taste is average but portion size is small with barely any chicken. I was noticing them serve while I was waiting for my order. They take so much time to serve each biryani order and make sure that that not much chicken is served for each order. It literally looked like they were mining for gold. Owner/Manager was repeatedly intervening with servers to control meal portions. Result; chicken less biryani serving. I genuinely recommend that owner/manager visits some of the Asian takeaway places in the food courts around downtown to see how the a meal is served to make customers happy.

I was waiting for my dosa 25 minutes. The dosa came cold even they reheated it. Look of dosa was not appealing - It was not round but squashed. Potatoes inside were less than in another places.

Worst buriyani ever please dont waste your money here. We ordered chicken buriyani and half of the plate with lemon and taste weird. Smells very bad. Very terrible experience here.
