Happy Tails Pet Resort & Spa

Unfortunately not a fit for our dog.We have a toy poodle who loves people, but has nervous energy around other dogs. She has been to Happy Tails before and did fairly well.Yesterday we took her to happy tails for the day, I explained when I dropped her off that she seemed a bit anxious and was shaking. The staff member at the front remembered her and picked her right up, and assured me that she would get lots of attention… which really put me at ease.When I picked her up she looked so upset— dried tears under her eyes, exhausted, not her usually bouncy , happy self. I called happy tails on my way home to ask if something happened. They explained that our dog sobbed all day, jumped at the gate all day, and they aren’t supposed to “reward that behaviour” by picking her up.Had I known she was upset all day and didn’t get any human interaction or cuddles, I would have left work and taken her home.We have 6 full day passes left that we won’t be using. Really disappointed in how our dog’s day went yesterday.I understand certain rules are in place for the safety of the dogs... I would suggest if your pet likes to be held or prefers humans to other dogs, don’t bring him/her to happy tails.

This Resort is fantastic! I take my dog in to get groomed. They do a WONDERFUL job. Each time I take my dog, in to get groomed I have tears in my eyes, from Happiness! Highly appreciated & recommend.

5 stars simply not enough for this great pet care facility and its amazing staff. They came to our rescue on short notice when we needed help and took in our two dogs for boarding and daycare (who were much happier with them than stuck in a hotel with us). The walk-in service is just a lifesaver for those times where you are just stuck, and they post constant photos of your pets having the time of their lives with them and all their new friends. Simply incredible. Highly recommend.

It was my pets first time there. Their employees were so welcoming. About their service, it was so quick and satisfying. Such a warm, clean happy environment at this place. Thank you :)

Left our pup here for the weekend and they were wonderful. Clean, friendly staff and very knowledgeable!

My 6 month old Sheepadoodle, Waylon spent the day at Happy Tails on Feb 11. Check in was quick, the staff were professional, caring and answered all my questions. I called mid way through the day to see how he was doing and they were happy to provide me with his progress. I was provided with a report card of providing me with staff's observations of Waylon's day.They keep the small dogs separate from the big dogs and they have an area outside for some outside time play and shenanigans.The staff show true compassion towards dogs and that made me feel confident that I was leaving Waylon in very capable hands. We visited this location with our Pup. It's the third visit to a Happy Tails location. I have to say staff are so friendly at both locations. This one and St Anne's. Your furbabies are well taken care of and Happy. They post pictures on Facebook and IG showing off your dog and all the fun they had. We did Power hour last night. $15 for 90mins and our Dog came out Happy as can be and drained from all the fun. Thank you Happy Tails for being there so our pups can get some social skills. After all Humans can't teach Dogs to be Dogs. They need other Dogs.

Staff here were INCREDIBLE!! We did the board and stay with the doggy daycare during the day.From the moment we called they were so nice, told us everything we needed to know, answered all our questions. When we arrived they were awesome as we checked in. We called a couple times to check on our pup and they told us right away how she was doing.The facility was very clean, well organized and they really went above and beyond with a puppy report card and even washing and drying the blankets we sent with.And the fact that they upload pics of the dogs on their social media 12/10!! So appreciated!

We had taken our dog to happy tails samborski 1-2 times every week or two since October when he was a puppy up until approximately 3 weeks ago. I honestly can only remember a handful of times staff provided positive comments regarding our dogs visit, mostly only negative comments told to us or we had to ask how his day was and negative comments only told (too excited, too playful, runs too much with the other dogs, needed to be leashed to stop playing with other dogs?, jumped too much as a 12 lbs puppy - we had/have trained him not to jump on us but obviously can’t control what happens when we aren’t present). We had taken our dog there to run around and play with other dogs when it seems their expectation were dogs who laid down and did nothing. We take our dog to the dog park and with friends dog, we have never had issues with him playing with other dogs. I cannot deny that we do have an excited and happy dog but we were made to feel bad about this when the reason we took him there was to play with other dogs and run around, isn’t that what doggy day care is for?… a couple weeks ago, I got a call at work and was told our dog would not “calm” down and he needed to be muzzled to “calm” down (even though he has never been aggressive or bite another dog and that wasn’t their reasoning for using the muzzle) and that was their best effort they could do unless we could pick him up (which we couldn’t).We recently took our dog to a new doggy day care facility who immediately welcomed him, staff were friendly and actually appeared happy to be at work (compared to happy tails), provided positive comments about his day and have not provided a single negative comment yet or concerns like happy tails always had for us/don’t complain about our dog playing or running around with other dogs (which is why we bring him there). I really wanted happy tails to work out for us but it sadly was not the right fit for us. I personally wouldn’t recommend this facility for an energetic, happy, and playful dog.
