Operating Engineers Of Manitoba Local 987
I've been a part of this union for 19yrs. I've been active in the contract negotiations for this local as an employee representive for the last 12yrs and have enjoyed the nuances of the process. This union includes all the members who wish to be active in it and does make a difference for people working under their collective agreements. I've found our union leaders to be level headed and reasonable when dealing with both my employer and troublesome members.

Called in n was told to go online n follow the steps there to work towards becoming a member. But wut she told me to do there is nothing that resembles wut she said n where to go. So i am not impressed at all. I get the feeling she just ddnt wana assist me. Which is wutever i guess im not joining today. N if i did join is this the treatment that i shud expect. Not sure if inwana b a part of that in that case.

I have been working in high rise buildings for the last 5 years. I just recently got my 5 Th class Power Engineering certificate and am studying for my 4 Th class part A. By joining a local would this benefit me ?
