Eagle Ridge Hospital: Emergency Room

This is ER.But this ER can't function like an ER.What i noticed is that there's just not enough house physicians to take time to examine, treat, and save someone's day or a life.Staffing shortage is painstakingly vivid, and yet the health official won't do anything about it.Nurses and doctors are very helpful when they treat patients. I appreciate it so much. I'm sure everyone is doing whatever they can to facilitate this ER, but there's just not enough doctors! Some people just need to be told that 'this pregnant person needs an ultrasound' or 'this guy needs a prescription med' or 'this guys needs a scan.'I've been here twice.It's given that you will ordeal through and tough out whatever you're suffering from for hours waiting to see a doctor.Canada's Helath Care System can't meet the rising demand, which is the population.More population = more patients.It's so simple, yet so difficult.Smh.

I was there 1pm with abdomen pain and I wait till 7 pm to have ultrasound and no one told me to drink water then it was postponed till 9 pm to have the ultrasound done and no one gave me any pain killer .Doctor shift changed and they missed my binder I wait till 12:30 pm to have the rude Doctor came and visit . I was crying for hunger and tiredness and pain but he did not care at all and just gave me inly 4 pain killer and I asked them for work note which they gave me by the worst attitude ever I have seen and no one told me why are you crying….i left the hospital with pain and never back there again. It was my 3d bad experience, they act like hell

My experience at the hospital was a mixed bag. While the nurses and staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, the excessive wait time in the emergency department was frustrating. We waited for six long hours without seeing a doctor, which is certainly not ideal for urgent medical care. On the positive side, the staff will provide you with numerous blankets to ensure your comfort. However, the lack of timely healthcare delivery overshadowed the positives.

Emergency patient:Took 8 hours in total.She went in with chest pain through to the back, legs unstable. She waited 6 hours to see a Dr and for an x-ray (doesn't drink alcohol). Pain got worse during the 6hr wait, was never offered a bed. Dr sent her out the door with no diagnosis, no extra tests, and in more pain than arrived (no ride offer, or pickup suggestion). I came to her twice during that day.Been here numerous times for loved ones.2 times, person had open wounds - 1 for a broken arm, the other with a slashed hand. Both individual times they got treated quickly, 1 hour wait.My conclusion: go here if you have a broken bone or an open wound. DON'T go here for chest or body pain.

Super terrible experience!! I’m really sick when I got here! Sharpe pain and cold like frozen. I ask the nurse so many times can I see the dr earlier? She has no patient and keep rolling her eyes and play her phone! Told me wait! OMG

Went there for my toddler's collarbone fracture. Total length of stay was 2.75 hours. Got registered and triaged pretty quickly. Waited 1.75 hours to see the Dr. All staff were super friendly and made my son feel comfortable. The bad was there was no parking.

I sat in the waiting room for 7 hours while I could not seat straight due to the abdominal pain I was experincing. All of the nurses were chatting and playing on their phones for the whole time while they refused to share any information with me. I simply do not understand the mean behind emergency at this place.

Terrible service, un compassionate admittance, treated with complete indifference after 5 hour wait with out any care we decided to just leave without receiving help.Changes definitely need to be made, the system is brokenI recommend having more smaller urgent care clinics open 24 hours as they will definitely free up hospital emergency.Hospital staff seem overworked and not able to provide adequate and humane care.

Unfortunately, we had to go Eagle Ridge Hospital: Emergency Room a few times and I gotta say that everyone's attitude (receptionists, nurses, doctors) was superior. Yes, wait times could be a bad thing, unfortunately it's the way medical system is. In our case, we've never waited more than 90 mins. Big thanks to everyone who works there. The Google review score is unfair.
