Today, as 2020 vicronvirus in Toronto, the centre hygiene is behind public health standards, eg wash rooms no paper dry your hand. It just matter some one get the virus soonam regular exerciser and have diploma on Science of exercise. Downstairs exercise room at the back of weight lifting equipment is wrong install, they reverse front to the back from the mirror. most trainer usually train in front of the mirror, that mean, the hand waist also need to reverse by holding the waist, that will caused hand muscle damage in long run.been mention to supervisor(Denise), not install correctly by the safety rule from manufacture. She said they need more space for more equipment. I do not believe body exercise safety less important than by install few more machine or new machine than long term chronic pain. As experience trainer need few good and safety machine than more machinesalso another new treadmill for senior, just walking only. but it hiding very danger, it is no emergency stop, it won't stop if he or she fall and also seldom use by adults

Been here for years. Been apart of youth programs, but I only go there for the gym now. It has a good variety of equipment for beginners and long time gym goers. There is no squat rack or deadlifting platform. It is free to go with registration at no cost to you, just proof of residence I believe.

Great gym experience. Been going for about 8 years on and off to this fitness center. Being your own locks for the lockers here. Please don't bring your bags in the space, it takes up space. It's a great atmosphere and the people are nice most of the time. There are less instructions than most gyms, so you should come in with an idea of what you're doing. They removed some of the equipment for covid related reasons, but there was never really that many machines.Depending on the time of day, you'll get very different demographics of people at the gym. There's a 30 min limit on the treadmills, but you probably shouldn't be running for that long anyways. There are stair masters and bikes as well. They have a small space for floor work too. Be respectful and responsible with the equipment. There's usually no one recording anything, so you don't have to worry about ending up on someone's tiktok. I would say that it's a ratio of 5:3 for the men. I know some women prefer to go to the gym with as little men as possible, so I'd suggest 12-3 or after 8pm. From 6:30 - 9 am is usually retired folk. They have sports in the gym each day. Mon= Badminton Wed/Fri= basketball Thurs= volleyball. Different classes and programs are on the other levels. There's a daycare in the lower levels. It's an old school community centres, and it's great.

Ballroom organizers were rude, Complained to the front desk. She was even worst. She told me I didn't have to come if I didn't like it.

The city needs to upgrade the park lights. Very dark and unsafe. The parking area and roadway in the park needs more lights

I go to this recreation centre for ballroom dancing every Friday afternoon (12:45 pm to 3:00 pm). The dance room is huge with well maintained hardwood floor. Dancing a Viennese Waltz is effortless on such smooth hardwood floor. The DJ (volunteer) is a healthy senior who has good taste in ballroom music. I like her ballroom music very much. Free entrance if you have Scarborough membership (which can be obtained from the office with your proof of address). The ladies staff in the office are wonderful! (Line dance also takes place on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm).

There are lots of programs here but mostly targeting seniors and kids. There's a gym in the basement and it gets busy. Some of the staff are rude and ignorant. Big parking lot...beware of lots of broken glass in many parking spots. ALL the rooms are filthy, dusty and dirty...never see staff cleaning. Bathrooms often out of soap and paper towels. The sanitizer dispensers are always empty... wouldn't be surprised if someone gets COVID here.
