Our group requested a reservation 1 hour earlier than their regular hours and they kindly accommodated for us.For half of our group(l, it was our first experience at this location & the other half were already well versed. So to make it easier, we just doubled the identical orders for both sides of the table. We had a good mix of cooked lamb, beef & vegetarian platters (this giant platter reps 4 platters), plus soupThe beef soup was extraordinarily delicious with a hint of corn taste (IMHO) in the consommé.What was slightly red in colour also reflected its spice level.Their traditional injera (bread ) was wonderfully light, as to be expectedWe ended with their traditional Ethiopian coffee (similar to an espresso size & strength), which came with popcorn (tradition)The service was wonderful and they were extra patient with the elderly in our group.(Find me on Instagram @aida.loves & Twitter @whosthisaida )

First time having Ethiopian food, and it was fantastic. Food was beautifully presented and tasty. Staff gave us extra rolls to eat with the food.

It was my first experience of Ethiopian food, it was very tasty and delicious. Service there was also very friendly and attentive. The suggestion of mixed plates worked perfectly for our table. It also got more crowded later in the night. Overall good experience, would have been better if the music was not as loud and the washroom area was not in direct sight of our table.

Wow. We were looking for a new place for Ethiopian cuisine and we absolutely loved our first meal here. Deliciously spiced food, beautifully presented. This restaurant stands among the best that we have enjoyed in Ethiopia, or anywhere else for that matter. We will be back!

This place is AMAZING. It deserves to be everyone’s go-to spot for authentic Ethiopian food. Even the pickiest of eaters would enjoy the amazing flavours that come out of this kitchen. The food, the coffee, the ambiance, the regulars. Everything was perfection. Come bring your friends here, order food and be merry. This place is truly a gem in the city of Toronto. I would come back every month just to order a lot of food with my friends and enjoy the energy of the environment. This place is unforgettable. Thank you so much Gadise and staff & of course the oh so friendly regulars for having a BLAST with us! This is the kind of authenticity our city needs.

This restaurant changed my view on Ethiopian cuisine to be honest. I love their menu and the bread was super fresh and delicious. We tried meat and veggie options, and both did not disappoint. We also had the coffee ceremony which was lovely on a Sunday afternoon. We went during a off-peak hour so service was fairly fast. I would love to know where to get those incense that comes with the coffee ceremony!

Local business with authentic tasty Ethiopian food. The veg plate was delicious. Does not have combo platter options like most other Ethiopian restaurants and mainly beef options.
