I have never in my life returned metal, but had a big pile that I had accumulated on my property.I chose to bring it to AS as it was the closest yard to me.I called first to see what the process was, owner was very polite on the phone and walked me through it.Arrived the next morning and was happily received by the owner who directed my truck and trailer into the receiving area and promptly assisted me to unload.Paid me what I am sure was fair price for my scrap and I was on my way.Very easy process, friendly people all around including the other customers who were also dropping off.

I have been doing commercial windows for 15 years now and I've always been returning extruded aluminum and other materials for scrap up until recently I always went to triple M and then I heard about A .S, This place is by far the Best scrap yard in Barrie He is super fair Gives good prices and doesn't rip you off This place will be getting my service from now on

I go see Abdul all the time , I drive 3 hours each way to bring my scrap to him. Loyal and consistent customers is what he has made keep up the good work buddy. No worrys I dont bring mufflers like my friends lol

Terrible business ethics. Made a deal with the owner before loading the copper into the bins for weight. As we go to check weight he went back on his word trying to make it feel we cheated on the deal when he was the one loading the copper into the bin with us. Any copper we loaded he watched and acknowledged it was going into the right bin. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Stay away.

I'm not a scrap metal pro, so I sorted things to the best of my ability and took it into A.S. Metal Recycling. I was assisted with the unloading of everything, and pleased with the pleasant service I received. I left with more money than I had imagined my scrap would be worth, and will definitely use A.S. for any future metal recycling I do. 10/10.

Do not know much about scrapping first and only time I was doing it due to moving out of country. My neighbor who scraps regularly helped me sort 90% of the items from our home into different bins. When I arrived to the yard all of the bins with the exception of one was dumped into the bulk metal bin. My neighbor told me I should get around $100 for all the items. Received $64 and change. Do not feel confident at all was compensated properly for the items dropped off. There is no way all the items my neighbor who has been scrapping for 20 years separated were bulk items with the exception of one bin. We have pictures of all the separated bins in the trailer if the owner would like to reach out.

I've been scrapping for fun for a bunch of years now and I've taken scrap to most yards in Barrie - some good, some bad. A.S. Metal Recycling is now my go-to yard. Abdul is great - he'll help off load and pays a good price. I'll be back for sure.
