Ignoring the puppies, the shop sells some great odds n' ends for birds that you would otherwise have to order from hard-to-come-by websites. A great, refreshing selection of bird toys and faux nests for reasonable prices.As always, it's better to purchase and adopt animals from rescues or dedicated breeders.

I got a shorkie from this store as a gift in October. He is almost 9 months old now and is the sweetest and happiest puppy. No health issues as he is very healthy. Also, no behavioural problems. He is so friendly, loves people and other animals. I love him so much. I know pet stores do have a bad reputation but I recommend this store if you want a happy, lovable, adorable, and healthy puppy.

Pet's Friend staff was amazing when adopting my puppy during covid. My cute little one was having a hard time adjusting to his new home, so I contacted them via Instagram for help.She replied and offered a phone call within 10 min! She helped me with advice over the phone when I was feeling unsure about things, even offered to help by seeing the puppy again. Her advice and confidence made me feel much better and helped me, to help my pup adjust.Thank you for everything, I'm happy I went with you for my new family member.

We got our labrador 2 years ago and couldn't be more happy with our choice. The price is reasonable and a guarantee bill of health. I recommend this place to my nephew whom is looking for a puppy. All the pets are well cared for. The store is be very nice and clean. The salesperson or owner was knowledgeable and helpful in picking the right pup. Gone are the days of PJ Pets but this place is great. You know what to expect. No regrets.

HORRIBLE sales person who works there. We wen't with our kids and she didn't want to let us in, she shoved the door on me and told me that the store was closed, but continued to let other people in. I asked her for the manager because I called before I got there and told her I was coming, and I was negotiating on the phone with her about the puppies price. When she saw it was me she told me it was all a misunderstanding and they would never sell a puppy for the price I was looking for. She said $2500 is way too cheap". She wasted my time and made my kids cry. I really wanted a puppy for my son's birthday. HORRIBLE sales person I ever met. Never met someone with such a rude attitude in my life. She also lied to me about the price and I went there for nothing. I also found out from the reviews that the pups are abused and from puppy mills. Would never buy from here if I knew that. Disgusting."

I purchase my puppy from this pet store, and couldn't be happier. In the 6 months since I got her, she has been happy and healthy, and the vet gave her a clean bill of health. Any time some one tells me they are looking for a puppy, I send them to Pet's Friend, and I'll be going back for my second one soon!!! Anyone who believes the people who are talking about her buying from puppy mills obviously haven't seen how healthy and happy her puppies are! She cares for each pup like it's her own, and would never buy from somewhere that they aren't treated the best.

We purchased a Maltese poodle there in December 2017 after spending a lot of time looking for shelter puppies. This was to be our families first dog and I frankly didn't want the uncertain disposition of a rescue dog and was discouraged by the rescue animals we had looked at. I had been to Pet Friends in the Richmond Hill location and had seen a few their puppies earlier. Despite what you may read on some of the other reviews every time I've visited their locations the dogs and other animals generally seemed to be happy, well fed and socialized but every dog is different and some were quiet and timid others boisterous and very playful. Sometimes you pick the dog and sometimes the dog picks you. Our puppy has been with us for almost two months and has been a real gem in terms of temperament, teachability and sociability. We couldn't be happier with our selection. The owner of Pet Friends was very helpful in selecting our puppy, answered all our questions and helped guide us towards setting up a healthy home and instilling healthy habits in our pet. We are very appreciative for her help. My family couldn't be happier with our decision. I would return there for all my pet needs.

We got our fur baby from here and he is definitely adorable. We went to the vet right after and he is in great healthy. I don't know where those bad reviews from because they are so not true! The owner is nice and she answered all my questions outside work hours, and after purchase.

We got our adorable puppy in this store in October 2014. If my puppy was in Puppy mill, I would like to thank the owner of this store for taking these dogs out of there and sell them to people who really care about these cute animals. Our dog is absolutely healthy,playful and energized. Take care of your pet!!! Your pet will be healthy if you take care of it!!! We treat our dog like a baby and he is a big part of our life! Thanks to this store for our lovely yorkie!

I have bought 2 dogs from this place. One 41/2 years old and the other 21/2 years old now. Been shopping with them for 10 years now. Bought fish, plants and small pets for over 10 years.Both dogs healthy. I have a friend bought two dogs from 2 supposed reputable breeders, both died horrible slow deaths. Very hard to know who to trust these days. 1st dog bought in Richmond Hill, 2nd dog in Aurora, both independently checked by vets who said they were in excellent condition.Was told right up front they were mixed. 2nd dog was fully toilet trained at 2 months when we got her. I cannot speak for the other reviews just my opinion.Still looking for reviews here of actual experiences.
