We had a great experience with While Away. The initial contact & booking process was prompt & easy. Our sitter Julie took great care of our 2 cats & 1 dog -- sending us pictures, and making sure they had clean litter, food & water. Our animals all seemed loved and cared for when we returned. We'll definitely book with them again next time we go away.

We had a fantastic experience relying on While Away during a two week vacation. Both of our cats require a lot of love and attention, and after reviewing the website and calling for additional information, we were confident that they would be well cared for. The application and payment process was fairly straight-forward, and everyone we were in contact with (phone/email/text) was extremely responsive and helpful (Shout out to Nicole! She was awesome throughout the entire process, even checking up after our trip). When we meet our caregiver, Cheryl, she instantly put us at ease. It was readily apparent how much she cares about animals, and she was super adaptable to any requests/instructions we had. While we were gone, she updated us every day via text, often providing photos of our critters hanging out or eating. Additionally, she let us know when she got the mail and sent photos whenever she cleaned the litter boxes. It was so nice not having to worry about the state of our cats for our entire trip. When we returned, both cats seemed happy and healthy. Usually they don't eat much when we travel and lose a bit of weight, so this was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend While Away for anyone looking for the most stress-free experience for both you and your pets. We will definitely be calling them for any future trips.

We are so grateful for our While Away experience! Cheryl was an absolute angel. I'm always so nervous to go away and leave our furbabies, but from the second I first talked to Cheryl I knew that they would be in great hands. Our dogs were so well cared for and I felt that she loved them as we do. We returned to a spotlessly clean home, and happy pugs.

We went away for 8 days and used While Away’s pet sitting services. Cathy was amazing. While we were away we were given updates daily on our pup, pictures included. She also went above and beyond to take care of a small injury our dog got at the dog park the day before we left. (Go figure)When we returned home the house looked spotless and more importantly our dog was happy and healthy waiting for us!Never had to worry about the quality of service while we were gone. Would definitely recommend checking these guys out as a pet sitting option.

Riley was very caring with Sadie and we appreciated all the efforts he took looking after her and our home. Sadie was relaxed and happy when we returned and our home well looked after. Looking forward to our next trip.

I've used While Away three times now and they always do an excellent job! The caregivers at While Away really have a strong understanding of the reassurance that pet owners are looking for. My dog has separation anxiety and needs a little bit of extra care when I leave him alone. Irene at While Away provided a great service, she went above and beyond to make sure my dog was healthy and happy, and I got consistent updates to give me peace of mind during my trip. If you're looking for folks who will give as much love to your pet as you do, I would strongly recommend While Away.

When we first met Gail to see if she and Simon (our dog) would be a fit, I knew right away she would be an awesome pet sitter. Simon took to her right away, which let us know he trusted her, which as a rescue dog being in five homes before us, he does not trust easily.Being a dog with special needs, she was able to adapt her routine to Simon's easily. She sent regular pictures and updates, and we did not worry at all while we were away on vacation. Gail took Simon for good walks, which was much appreciated as Beagles need exercise.In addition, our home was spotless when we came home, which was not necessary, however appreciated very much. She also watered our plants and flowers, and gave a written report of all that occurred while we were away, and also took in our mail and newspapers.You will not regret having Gail as a pet sitter, she is a lovely person and your pets will adore her. While Away House Sitters and Pet care is fantastic, they erase the worry about leaving on vacation, knowing your home and pets are cared for like their own.

Thank you Doreen! For years we have stressed about what to do with our dogs when we travel and cannot bring them with us. Our recent trip took us away for three weeks and we tried While Away for the first time. We have never used a service like this in the past and after our experience with Doreen and While Away, we will never stress again about who can care for our dogs. We have a high energy Springer and two large Rescues with some unique personalities. They were happy and well taken care of, enjoying play, walks, and cuddles.
