KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
I flew business class fromAmsterdam to Toronto with my dog in the cargo of the plane yesterday after arriving fromJakarta via Singapore (33hr flight). Upon arriving in Toronto I was told by the one KLM attendant on duty to wait for my dog near conveyor 7. I waited for an hour then went back to her to ask again if she knew where my dog would be offloaded. She blatantly ignored me the first two times I asked and then finally rudely snapped that I should wait until all 200+ passengers get their bags then they’ll bring my puppy. I waited for 30 minutes more then she came over and told me that my dog wasn’t there and that I have to drive to pick him up from KLM cargo and gave me a number. I told her there is no way he is there he’s supposed to be in the airport. She started asking me for receipts, I gave her all my documents, what ensued was a screaming match because she kept asking for receipts and I kept telling he she has everything already. I got yelled at, another woman from the airport also screamed at me and called me rude. Then these two clowns finally saw my crate tags and realised they made a mistake and that the dog was taken to cargo by mistake. I recorded everything on video, suddenly the KLM attendant changed her tune and started being nice to me after burning every last nerve in my system to the point where I was crying. They made me wait 30 more minutes and finally found my dog. Fantastic service for a business flight with a pet right? Absolutely disgusting appalling behavior by ground crew. You’d think in Canada people would know how to do their jobs and give good client service. They completely ruined by good will towards this company that was built by the wonderful flight attendants on the planes I flew.
