One of my favorite walking paths especially during the COVID period, easy to access as you can choose where to start the walk or bicycle, you can start at the river road off no. 3 rd or Terra Nova park, usually it takes 45-60 min walk to steveston wharf then have a coffee or snack, or do some shopping for seafood from the boats. Easy flat level gravel road and you can browse the houses along the trail and the open Fraser inlet. Usually not crowded, suitable for the whole family.

One of the most beautiful urban trails to watch amazing sunsets. Marsh strip all along the west side of dyke. Great flora and bird watching.

Beautiful place to take the family for different activities like walking or having a picnic, there is so much to do at this place. But one thing I noticed is there are so many signs everywhere saying that dogs have to be on leashes but most of the time the leashes are hanging from the owner's neck or shoulders. They let their dog take a dump cause they think no one can see them. It looks like there is no bylaws enforcement in Richmond and that is why the dog's owners can get away with not cleaning after their dogs or even not having a leash on them.

The dyke in Richmond is a great place to walk or run.Any time is a good time but just before the sunset is a great time to come. At that time you see ducks, geese and other species.End of Francis is a great starting point.The light is beautiful at sunset and you can see hundreds of geese flying or honking.There is parking available on Francis at the dyke.

I have an injury and have a difficulty walking, but it was a very easy trail to walk on. Lovely views too!
