I have been to this place to see Herman for years and never had any bad experience though I wouldn't say the other visits were exceptionally good because the level of service rendered is just what is expected........test your eyes and give a prescription. A recent visit was just different. He lost his patience because he had to re-test my eyes arising from a concern. It's so obvious that he wasn't happy to see me like I was doubting him. His tone was harsh and loud!See someone else. There are many good optometrists in Coquitlam. Don't go to him just because he speaks English and Mandarin.

I have brought my kids here for many years. Very good service, Drs are nice (Dr Kuen Cheung in particular).We normally buy the kids package which gets a free replacement pair at the next visit.

Non kids friendly store. All staffs and Herman Shen don't like kids. Better don't bring kids in to any of their store. Go yourself unless you have no other choices. My wife has been their Metrotown and Coquitlam store and end up with all the same. My wife is just too kind to em. I will F em right away if they treat my kids with unprofessional tone! Next time I will go with hidden Cam to show public how unprofessional they are!

My mom recommend Doctor Shen to me. However, Doctor Shen suggested for me to get glasses even though I didn't need them. I have 20/20 vision in one and really near sighted on the another. Glasses wasn't the right option for me, the other doctors have suggested for me to just get cheap daily contact lenses on one eye that's near sighted. Doctor Shen sold me expensive glasses anyways, and the glasses obviously don't work at all.

Terrible service, don't waste your time here. Terrible optometrist. Had an eye exam done and he refused to give the PD when you don't buy glasses at their store. A PD takes less than a minute to measure.

I get eye exams here and have never had an issue. Dr.Shen always explained things and answered my questions. Of course they suggest you purchase glasses/lenses from them, but I just ask for my prescription to purchase at my regular place.

I strongly advise everyone not to come here. I waited for seven or eight minutes at the door and none of the two front desk staff came to wait or even glanced at them until I got up and asked them. The impatient attitude seemed to beg them to serve you. When a doctor examines a child, it is like a numb person doing assembly line work.

I’ve been a patient here for years. Clean and bright clinic in a location with transit and ample parking. The staff and doctors here are very knowledgeable have your best interest in mind. It’s always nice to see warm, friendly faces whenever I walk in!
