Wharncliffe Walk-In Clinic
I don't typically write reviews on anything at all, however, I felt that I needed to share my horrible experience at this clinic. I am a nursing student and I found the behaviour of the female doctor I saw to be extremely unprofessional, rude, and completely without compassion. A year ago, I had come in after having a nasty cough for a month and had spent the 3 nights before my visit without any sleep. I was at my wits end and went to the clinic as a desperate last resort. I waited 2 hours and when I was finally seen, the doctor treated me like a child, used medical jargon that would be difficult for anyone not in healthcare to understand, and basically invalidated my experience. She did not listen to anything I was saying, and all she did was recommend home remedies that I had already told her I had tried. I wanted to get some cough syrup with codeine prescribed so I could just get some sleep, and in response she said we don't prescribe narcotics here

Absolutely disgusting treatment from the receptionists. This used to be my regular clinic, but for some reason they decided to stop answering the phones months ago. There’s been days I’ve called 15 times to try to speak to someone and they never ever EVER pick up. I’ve used different phone numbers thinking maybe they just don’t want to answer mine. But still they never pick up. Today alone I have called them 17 times and not one answer. The staff is rude to their clients in person and neglect them over the phone!!!!!!!! WORST CLINIC IN LONDON

I used to visit this clinic when I had something quick to be checked. I have found the receptionist to be fine, but the quality of doctors has gone down the hill. I really liked Doctor Matthew Parry and Doctor Muhammad. They were very attentive, and knowledgeable. There is an older woman doctor which I prefer to avoid as much as I can. Its a waste of time seeing her. She doesn't care, doesn't listen to your health concerns, and her diagnosis are always wrong. I call ahead to make sure it is not that doctor before I visit this clinic.

The first time I came here I saw Dr. Matthew Perry and he was very helpful, listened to everything I said, and gave me instructions to come back for a follow-up and to get a referral to a specialist. Dr. Perry is great.Today, I unfortunately saw Dr. T. Alam for the same issue. Dr. Alam was awful. Didn’t listen to anything I said and wouldn’t let me speak after my first couple words. I had to talk over him in order to say anything and even still he kept interrupting. He wrote a prescription (only half of the reason I came) and left the room before I had even finished talking to him. Refused to give me a referral for a chronic issue that prescription meds haven’t been able to fix. Waited over an hour and a half to see him and he wasn’t able to spend more than one minute (yes, literally one minute) on me. It was clear within five seconds of meeting him that he was trying to end our conversation ASAP and move onto the next patient. Unless all you want is a prescription renewal, don’t go here if he’s the doctor working that day. You will be wasting your time.

I was diagnosed with depression and prescribed medication based on a 10-question test. The doctor didn't even take the time to listen to me. Instead, he simply instructed me to see a psychologist and handed me a piece of paper with the word psychologist" written on it. I mean

I am a medical professional not registered to practice in Canada as I am here for my PhD, I took my son to consult for the first time. This was a rip off of 40$ . They took us in, the GP came did not even look at my son. Started reading the detailed observations I wrote and said we should go to a pediatrician. So I paid 40$ to get the address and claim back from my medical aid.Healthcare in Canada is really a struggle. While in South Africa we had top medical cover service , we were treated as priority in hospitals. Maybe I did not yet realize here I am just a student.

Lovely receptionist and wait experience however, I have never been so disappointed with a doctors lack of manners in my life. Very unprofessional and dismissive in my opinion. He pretty much talked over me the entire time and I could barely get a word in, let alone questions. Also, I was told that I would be tested for something that I didn’t request and I had to tell him that the whole reason I was there was a different issue. He told me that I would have to come back if I wanted to talk about a second issue.. I obviously suggested that I be helped considering I came for a reason and that I didn’t have time to come back to which he very disagreeably reconsidered.Would not recommend unless it’s a last resort and/or you have a very obvious ailment that you just need a prescription for.

One of the worst receptionist I’ve had to deal with. We expect to come in, sit down and wait patiently, not deal with a gringe of a woman who hates her life.

Rude and unprofessional receptionist. Won't recommend this place never ever . Well , I came there and the front staff didn't give me an appointment. That's why you are not seeing on your records .She just didn't give me an appointment as I was not wearing a mask . As per the rules in Ontario you cannot force anyone to wear a mask as it is not mandatory or if your clinic is recommending to wear a mask you should place it outside like what other walk clinics are doing . I just don’t want to waste my time by elaborating all those . But i would like to gave a heads up for those who are coming to seek immediate care.

I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. Save your time and money because you will surely be unsatisfied. Dr Alam was rude and not helpful.I pass my vision test from MTO, however he made it compulsory for me to wear glasses when I did my medical test from him but I also told him about my medical history.A week before that I had my eye check from an optometrist( Dr. Abdul Karim)and he told me that if I pass the MTO vision test I don’t need glasses while driving which I did pass the MTO vision test.To conclude, I have huge respect for doctors and in the medical profession. However, this place has bad reviews for a reason they changing the address to 279-103 Wharncliffe Rd does not change the bad reviews and unsatisfied patients. Trust the reviews.
