As a service tech for Carefree I had to work very long hours accumulating 65.25 hours of banked overtime in 3 months. Myself and the manager were let go when I returned from vacation and they refuse to pay me for my banked overtime. Not a trustworthy company.

Highly unprofessional, took “18” months to get work done, even after deposit paid. First installer hung doors wrong upside down. Doors didn’t match up and refused to redo or refund or give consideration. Lost kitchen cabinet front. Left with unfinished cabinet with no doors and no sides or kick plate for 10 months. I do not like to write poor Reports however this was beyond anything reasonable. Administration & manager defensive and not accommodating. No consideration whatsoever for discount for any of the wrong and unreasonable timelines forwork. As I write this stillWaiting for completion of rails. Highly recommend NOT to use this business.

I had ordered cupboard. We agreed that I would have staggered cupboards above stove and refrigerator so I could fit a bigger fridge. I also asked for rain glass for our doors.i ended up with the wrong glass doors and knobs which was eventually replaced. Then I noticed as it was assembled that I had the wrong height of cupboard above fridge but I figured the carpenter and company knew what I wanted and went with something different. I'm trying to get a bigger fridge. They say one thing with you and do something completely different. I'm never recommending this company to anyone. Nothing but a bunch of incompetent people who don't know how to run a business and not understanding the amount of hard earn money it takes to have this done.

The team at Carefree Kitchens is fantastic! They've helped me so much with lighting solutions for my home, and I'm looking forward to hopefully being in touch with them in the future for my kitchen as well. Very knowledgeable and friendly, would definitely recommend.

This is an awful business, the workmanship is terrible our counter tops and new cabinets are chipping and cracking and peeling off not even 3 years later!! Working with Carefree was not as carefree as it should have been!! After an incident with one of my pets getting them to complete the work left to do in my house was like pulling teeth!!! Please, if you would like a reno done in a timely fashion do not go with carefree! For the thousands of dollars we paid for this work, we will now have to replace all of it.

We were building our own home and wanted to shop local for lights. We set up a appointed to pick lights and were very disappointed with the service. The gentleman that was to help us did not take the time to help us, many time he left and we looked through cateloges on our own. As a self builder of 5 homes we were very disappointed with his service. We are still waiting for a email about lights and prices which we have never seen.Due to the lack of service we chose to buy our lights in Calgary where service was excellent and we spent over $7000.It's a shame that we could not get the same service with your company.Unless you are building with a builder I would not suggest using this company

I have purchased many things from carefree. From kitchen equipment to home decorations. I have been more than impressed with the quality of product. The stores staff are friendly and helpful and the display items are constantly changing with new products. This is my first stop when decorating or renovating.

Should be a 0/5 stars. Very unprofessional and rude staff. We wanted to get a quote and instead received a virus to our email accounts. When Keith said that he wasn't the one that sent the email and that he got a virus, he never apologized and no email was sent warning not to open the appraisal pdf" file which appeared to be the quote. We wanted to give them a chance even after hearing bad things. Should have listened."
