Urban Effects Cabinetry Kitchen & Bath Showroom

We are overall satisfied with this company and their work, except for one issue. One of our drawers was installed with the incorrect drawer slide hardware; the company was at first very helpful, trying to send out replacement parts and sending a technician to take a look. Ultimately, though, we were told they don't carry the correct hardware (how is that possible, when other drawers in the kitchen have the needed hardware?), and that they could fix it by charging us to completely replace all of the drawer slide hardware; this proposed fix was an expensive one, that we were not satisfied with (as the company installed the wrong hardware in the first place). When we tried to work with them to find an alternate solution, contact ceased and we haven't heard anything from them since. :(

I'm going on week 10 and still have not received my cabinets. I was told 4-5 week delivery but it's been 10 weeks and they still refuse to provide tracking information. By week 7 I was furious and reached out to everyone involved in this sale, from there it took Urban Effects 2 weeks to send an emailed order confirmation but not the cabinets!!! I've paid in full. I have no kitchen and eating out is very expensive. I didn't budget for an additional month of restaurants.Update 1/21/2020 - I'm being told the cabinets haven't been shipped yet and no one was notified about the not shipping of the cabinets on the date they were supposed to be shipped. Yesterday I was told they were shipped however they couldn't find the person who had tracking. I feel like they just don't care about me. They took my money so far and I feel like a victim, I feel like I've been harmed financially by this company.

Simply the best !!!! I could not be more happy with my amazing new kitchen. The designer's vision exceeded my expectations as did the quality of the cabinets. The installers were skilled craftsman that paid great attention to detail. Great job all around !!! I highly recommend Urban Effects.

Paid $15k upgrade to these Urban Effect Cabinets and they don’t even work after 2 years. The company doesn’t honor its warranty. Not worth the money. If you’re looking for cabinets steer clear from this company.

I've gone through three islands in 6 months. The fourth one is now on order. They always come damaged and destroyed. Nobody checks the quality before asking someone to stay home and get the install done. Three days have been wasted and now a fourth one will be at some point. When they came this week and realized they couldn't do the install they failed to put the old island back proper and now it moves all over the place. Not sure if it's them or their supplier, but overall it's a complete joke at this point!

We were really looking forward to our veneer front bathroom cabinetsTotally disappointed. They put veneers from two different trees on the same cabinet front. Wood grain pattern should fkow from one frint to the next. But the grain on the top drawer front is offset from the next one down. They said that this is within their standard manufacturing standards. They tried to tell us that wood is a natural product and veneers vary. This is true. But a veneer front vanity really should not look like a rubik's cube that could not be solved. Strictly amateur hour.

I am and dealer in California and have no answer because I am never given an answer for the bad service given. I am backing out of our relationship with Urban Effects, all of my customers are lived. I have multiple jobs where the customer has been with out a kitchen due to a backorder running out as far as Nine months. You would be advised to really think about using this company.

This is an extremely frustrating company to deal with!On the one hand the ordered drawer fronts were stained very well (usually the most difficult task) and clean cuts.However, how are they CONSISTENTLY incapable of providing the measurements that were ordered? And how are they consistently incapable of cutting square" cuts?? the width of some of the drawer fronts at the top are different from the width of the same drawer fronts on the bottom??The most BASIC attention and least amount of care to what you're doing will NEVER produce such results. Not once

New construction in Nevada and urban effects was offered as the cabinets. What a mistake it was to choose urban effects. We paid 17k for cabinets that have doors that are made up of panels. You can see light through the panels. In fact you can slide a piece of paper through the opening. I’m not sure how to upload a picture but i have several pictures of our cabinets with paper through the doors. We complained to our builders who brought out an urban effects representative. His answer: well you can’t slide a credit card through it. What??? Are you serious. Also he told us that the space if there to allow for weather changes???? This is insane. I’m from Canada where we see some of the most drastic weather changes from summer to winter and we never had spaces in our cabinets. The rep was dismissive and not willing to work with us at all. DO NOT CHOOSE URBAN EFFECTS if you have the choice.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with the Urban Effects product-kitchen cabinets. The finishing is not proper and the quality is poor. I can't believe that without any professional inspection, Urban Effects came to the conclusion that the Doors are bubbling due to an excessive amount of heat and/or humidity exposure. Most of the time I cook by using the Instant pot which is placed on the island. In addition, Kitchen cabinets should meet the kitchen furniture standards. Of course, nothing is covered under warranty...it is ridiculous. I am really disappointed and can't believe that after two years of very careful usage my cabinets doors are damaged. For sure they have a manufacturer defect which should be taken care of.Please be aware of what you are paying for.
