I would give this 3 stars, but there were a couple HUGE red flags that droppes it to 2 stars.First...all in all, the food was decent, just not a very large serving for the price. Second... the 1 and ONLY bathroom is around back and basically in the kitchen area. It definently needs some attention and cleaning, and had i used the bathroom before I ate, i probably would have left with out eating.Lastly... EVERY garbage can was full... there were 3 people working, we were the only sit down customers there, trays were stacked on the garbage cans, ash trays havent been emptied in who knows how long, (i dont smoke, so didnt bother me, just something i noticed) yet the garbage couldnt be changed?So basically the food was ok, i havent gotten sick yet so thats good. Probably wont ever go back though...

I've been coming here for decades, but lately it doesn't seem to be at the same quality level? I always loved the warm, soft, tortillas, but now they are cold and stiff, and makes the meat get cold faster too. I was in at lunch on 5/6/23 and the person at the cash register had lots of crumbs in his beard from snacking on chips, like pieces so big I could cleary see it was tortilla chips. Also, the worker in the back had long hair hanging down out of his cap.My food came really fast, but I wish they would have taken the time to warm the tortilla for my Taco Burrito, and I had grease dripping out of my Taco Burrito, which I've not experienced there in the past. I don't mind sitting on the tiles waiting a few extra minutes for my food to be done to the standard I've come to expect from Zanz.

It's a blast from the past. Great Mexican food for a fast food place. There are a lot of options. When Zantigo's got bought out, this place was independent. I beleave and changed the name to Zanzs. The food never changed a bit, infact they still have Red Chili burritos that you can't find at the new Zantigo's. The classic Zantigo's menu boards are still there. Of course the price has changed in the last 40 years. If you are passing through Mankato, give it a try it's so much better than the competition.

Hot chilitos are amazing, but my last 2 orders haven't been hot like I ordered, they were regular. Not sure if they toned the heat way way down or the cooks don't know the difference. Don't sleep on the wings they are fantastic.

The food was good, made fresh. Had 8 cheese chilitos and 4 tacos split between 4 people and we left full.Customer service was nice, thanked us before we left.Definitely a nice spot for the summer time!

I recently had a disappointing experience at a Mexican restaurant in Mankato. The food I received was cold, and to make matters worse, the chicken was old and chewy. It was by far the worst Mexican" food I've ever had in the area. The staff informed us that we couldn't order an extra taco because they were out of chicken

Food just okay for the price which BTW seems to go up weekly. The booths are so ridiculously narrow seating is uncomfortable. Sit outside. Bathroom-absolutely disgusting. Unbelievable that a business can get away with the filth that I saw.

Disappointing Experience at Zanz TacosI recently visited Zanz Tacos and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The first thing that struck me was the exorbitant prices for the food. I felt like I was paying a premium for tacos that were far from worth it.To make matters worse, the tacos I received were shockingly cold and reminiscent of a lackluster family gathering. The meat, cheese, and lettuce were of a quality that I would expect to find in a budget supermarket like Walmart. It was a real letdown, especially considering the prices they charged.Moreover, the atmosphere at Zanz Tacos was far from inviting. The place felt dirty and neglected, as if it hadn't seen any upgrades since the 1950s. It left me wondering if cleanliness and a pleasant dining environment were a low priority for them.On a slightly positive note, the chillitos were passable, but even they couldn't salvage the overall experience. It's a shame that the only redeeming aspect was merely okay."All in all

Have not been there in a long time and thought I would grab lunch there. Unfortunately the guy working in the back grabbed a towel from the dispenser and proceeded to blow his nose and then go right back to work without washing his hands. Yuck. And then to make it worse the tacos had so much grease they leaked out and soaked through the brown paper bag and onto my seat. Definitely disappointed as I used to enjoy dining there.
