We hired Lakehead Yacht Services/Capitan Marek to do a pre-purchase marine survey on a cabin cruiser, and were exceptionally pleased with the work and report. Marek was thorough and also welcoming to have me join him for the physical inspection/evaluation (a great learning experience for me, and he is also really nice and interesting to interact with in general). He was also very tactful and respectful with the boat owner. We will have no reservations at all in using Lakehead Yacht Services again!

The amount of nautical knowledge Marek has is indescribable! He has been incredibly dependable and has gone above and beyond with every aspect of the work he has provided. He did an incredibly thorough survey in 2021 of my 37’ Seabird Sailboat built by Cooper Yachts and it doesn’t stop there. He rebuilt necessary parts, navigated the boat all the way around Vancouver Island to deliver it with me in Tofino and he identified and fixed parts of the engine while at sea. He did electrical work in an impressively short period of time and has always been available for any questions I have as time goes on. He utilizes the sails with perfection and always remains calm in any situation that arises. He customized the transom on my tender to fit my small 6hp mercury outboard that made it through the challenging west coast winter without a single issue and is still in great shape.
