Would definitely recommend. First visit for a 12 yr old Pug× and 10 yr old Boxer× . Checked all boxes important to me : spacious waiting and exam rooms , parking and easy access, professional and friendly, great treat jar, timely check-in and checkout. Most importantly Dr. Rob and assistants gave ample time to introduce the dogs and explain their history which is lengthy. Great listening to any concerns , and accommodation for separation anxiety ( even the owners )was so appreciated . For that criteria alone I would give 5 stars and recommend. Everything else was a pleasant bonus .

I brought my 12 week old German Shepherd puppy in for an emergency visit as well as the second round of vaccines . Both visits were wonderful. All of the staff members were so caring , friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I was referred to them by 2 of my friends , and couldn't be happier they are absolutely amazing. I will be recommending them to everyone I know !!

Durham Vet Clinic has been seeing my pets for approximately 10 years. I would not take them anywhere else. At this clinic you will find some of the most kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable individuals. Dr. Rob has been instrumental in keeping our pets healthy and providing us with the information we need to make the best choices for their health when they have been sick.

I’ve been looking for a good vet for 2 years since I got my dog. As recommended by a friend I tried Durham vet, I can say this is the best vet I’ve ever been to (trust me there’s been a lot). The staff are super friendly as well as Dr.McCleary they are honest and don’t push medications if not needed and make you feel so comfortable from the time you walk in and the time you walk out. The prices for a visit are amazing compared to the other vets. I always recommend this vet to any pet owner I cross paths with. So happy with this vet!

Staff was very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and understanding. We even got a follow up email to check in and see how our pup was doing. Sammy and I will definitely return.

I was referred to Dr. Robert McCleary by my holistic vet for my dog’s dental work. So, I searched online and found Durham Veterinary Clinic. We were well received on our first consultation. The staffs were very kind and friendly, same with Dr. McCleary who is also knowledgeable and understanding. I believe in natural food and raw diet for my fur babies and Dr. M did not repel and understandably accepted my preferences. I looked for the longest time for a conventional vet that was not hostile every time I talked about raw diet, natural food and over vaccination. I think I finally found a conventional vet for my fur babies. The clinic is a bit far from my residence but I don't mind the drive at all! I hope for a continued good relationship with this clinic as it will be hard to find another one like this. I will definitely refer Dr. McCleary and Durham Vet Clinic to friends, family and the holistic community. Thank you, Durham Veterinary Clinic, for your care and understanding!

I could not be happier than I am with Dr.McCleary and his staff at Durham Veterinary Clinic.Dr. McCleary is a very knowledgeable and kind man that takes his time to listen to your opinions and answers any questions that you may have. We give credit and are forever grateful to Dr. McCleary for saving our 8 year old Golden Retriever life, having to redo a poorly done Surgery by another Vet. Recently we visited with our newly adopted, 16 week old Golden and met the other Vetrinarian there, Dr. Weaver I believe. She was wonderful too! We are Very happy to have found such a wonderful Vetrinarian clinic!
