Grumpy's Smokehouse & Bar
This was my first time visiting Grumpy's Smokehouse and Bar, and I was pleasantly pleased with the service, the food, and the atmosphere. Thank you to my daughter, Teisha, for taking me there. I ordered the Grumpy Smoked Chicken with Mac n Cheese - and IT WAS DELICIOUS! I also had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with the proprietor, Elijah. I will definitely be back!Thank you.

It’s disappointing that I have to leave this review but I had to. I want to see this restaurant do better! I have tried calling numerous times to try to pick up food with no answer. My husband has gone not once but twice to pick up food and has been turned away. They said they could no longer accept anymore orders. Mind you this is during their “open” hours and not close to closing, we also do not live close. It’s bad for business and sadly I will not be returning even though the food is good. Customer service is so important and this restaurant needs HUGE improvements.

If you’re planning on dinning or are hungry keep in mind even when not busy it is a 45min-1hr wait. Pictured is the shrimp Rasta pasta and grump (jerk) Rasta pasta. Even while dining in and waiting the food was somehow hot and cold at the same time.The jerk def needed more seasoning and my friend said the chicken was a bit chewy and fatty. The sweet chili shrimp is a very weird pairing with pasta, it should be jerked shrimp instead. The pasta was good but needs a more sharp cheese like Parmesan. Also tried the mac pie which was reasonably priced but didn’t have much flavour to be considered a Mac pie

The food, the staff and the experience is top notch. I take out on a regular basis and have tried all the items on the menu. Wouldn’t change a thing. Truly friendly staff and the chef is always out talking to the customers. Love the vibe. Kudos to the team!

Was extremely disappointed with Grumpy’s. I had heard so many good things about this restaurant and was really anticipating an amazing experience and food. As we entered the restaurant we weren’t greeted and then when we were about to order we were told that we couldn’t order and to come back in 20 mins. One person said the chef was sick and the other person said they had to restock. Before getting to the point of ordering someone could have said something. I really don’t understand how at 6:30 pm a restaurant has no food when they are open to 10pm. Thank goodness food fight bbq is in the same plaza and they had food!

Went for the first time....Order ahead of time or be prepared to wait for 45mins to 1 hrWhoever likes hot sauce take your ownFood...Not season like I thought it would beJerk chicken just bbq sauce, rice just regularMac and cheese just regularMaybe next time will try others things.Jerk chicken should come with bone in thats where you get some flavor from.I was hoping to get some spice to it.Bar is not open or I think this food will go good with some drinks. I will be head back to try some other stuff which looks goods.BUT EVERYONE WORKING WAS GRUMPY AND THAT WAS GOOD. GOTTA CARRY THE NAME.

Come here to experience great chicken. The atmosphere is relaxing. The food is amazing. It will make you dance with every bite. The restaurant is clean and the staff friendly. If you enjoy a familiar vibe, come visit this place.
