Hyde Creek Recreation Centre

The pool supervisor (Josh) and other life guards are absolutely rude and annoying. they keep pull out my children out of water and disturb them because they look under 7 years old. I have been in pool with my friends and they came to us more than 3 or 4 times and keep reminded us children under 7 must be with an adult . all kids has been over 7 years old and only one of them was under and we always send an adult with that child. Josh and other life guard has been rude to us . We live and work in poco for more than 22 years and Hyde Creek is the only facility we use for all these years. we never ever seen such a behavior from pool life guards and facility staff. I will definitely talk to facility supervisor and report it to city. The facility management must train staff professionally and teach them how to deal with children. they abused my child emotionally and I will report it to city. Pool must have a better system to distinguish children under 7 from others so staff does not keep judge kids by their physical body sizes. ( short kids are not necessary under 7 years old)

I had the most awful experience of my life in this pool staff are extremely rude and do not have any idea about how to treat parents and kids . Wont ever go back. Absolutely shocking customer service. Wouldn’t send my worst enemy there after how their staff treated us today.

Absolutely repulsive pool deck. I am shocked at how much garbage and food was on the floor in the sitting area of the pool deck. People were walking back and forth from the “No shoes” deck with their street shoes. DISGUSTING! They should be regularly cleaning as much as possible! The tables had garbage all on them. I will not bring my son back here. I can only imagine how much bacteria is in the pools and changing areas !!!

Love it. Just make sure you know if the big pool is shut down in advance. The big slide is the best. My girl is obsessed! :)

Old but perfect pool for younger childrens. It is a bit small for older kids. I wish they bring back the Life Guard and other certificate swim programs.

A nice clean community centre with friendly staff, using the one pass allows you to drop-in / register for a program or gym and then finish off the healthy outing by enjoying the pool, sauna, hot tub and stream room. Welcoming environment for all ages.

Requires photo ID, names, ages, phone numbers of patrons. You are required to give your names and phone number each time. I was told I could not use the facility with my children if I did not. I was told all pools do this. Walnut grove and Coquitlam do not. There is no explanation given as to why this is required when asked. There were no assurances my personal information that they have gathered will remain private and secure. Also, my credit card details were stored without my consent.

The pool is very warm, excellent for young kids, and even the adult lane pool was super warm. They provide life vests and noodles, there is also a slide. The staff was very nice as well. The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is that the kids pool wasn't very clean, could be because we visited at the end of the day... Anyway we had a great time both adults and kids. I recommend

Very rude staff !They need to be trained all over again (if they had any) to respect people. We are paying their salary with our property taxes, but they take it as granted and treat people disrespectfully.

I've been going here for around a year and never had something like this happen. I'm in the middle of a deadlift set and I'm lifting 275, the worker at the desk comes up to me and says I can't slam the weight and I have to be respectful to others. Her and I were the only ones in there. I explain it's a heavy weight and I cant just set it down and she proceeds to kick me out and now I can't go there. Terrible workers, decent gym but don't go if you're acually going to workout. Didnt know this was another planet fitness.
