I usually don't leave reviews unless my experience is a 5-stars one, and this is definitely the case of Dr. Lam's dental office. Dr. Lam is the best dentist I've ever had, and the entire staff is amazing, friendly and professional, going out of their way to make me feel welcome. The receptionist is always welcoming, professional and helpful in assisting with the prescriptions, appointments, payments and any other issues, a big thank you here as well!Dr. Lam is an exceptionally skilled dentist and dental surgeon, showing genuine care and dedication, and he has shared with me a lot of valuable knowledge regarding the required dental work, which helped me to fully understand the treatment options available to me and make the best decision. Each visit has been a pleasant experience, and we are talking here implants, bone grafts, root canals etc!Another big bonus for me was that Dr. Lam provides in his office all dental services, which saved me both time and money. My previous dentists sent me to other doctors for implants or surgeries all across the city, and racing during rush hours before or after work, between various offices, it was very annoying, and so much more expensive. I’m a busy professional with no time to waste, and Dr. Lam was the best choice ever in this respect, both the doctor and his staff being very punctual for all my appointments.My professional background being in industries that demand the highest standards, I am always trying to find, and I expect similar standards in all the services required in my personal life, too, therefore I strongly recommend Dr. Lam to anyone who expects the best (and stress-free) dental service, with a true professional who genuinely loves his job, and who is the best I've ever had.

Dr Lam is a good dentist and I enjoyed being his patient for a few years (and my wife was his patient 10+) after my long time dentist retired. However, we decided to leave due to the unequivocal abuse by Shalini (lead receptionist) and the disappointing response from Dr Lam. I decided take the time to submit this to encourage others to not be tolerant, please let Dr Lam know if Shalini is abusive to you (as others have also commented here). If you want to read a bit about why we left, see below.In short, Shalini became abusive after she experienced issues submitting my insurance claim so that I could be reimbursed for paying for my appointment. My wife and I tried to help her resolve the issues by calling my insurance company, clarifying details, etc (which all turned out to be due to Shalini making minor errors on the form - not a big deal). But in return, over the course of about a week, Shalini verbally assaulted us (she said to my wife at one point - do you speak English?")

I have to say my experience with Dr. Bill Lam and staff was amazing. I just had LANAP done by Dr. Bill and it went well . My previous dentist told me I'm not qualified for the procedure and he would do traditional gum surgery. I was not willing to do that and was really confused untill I found Dr.Bill Lam. After I contacted him and explained my situation, he took x-ray and told me I'm qualified for the LANAP procedure. Withing the same week he did the first part and 2 weeks after that, the second part. I had no pain both times . Recovery was instantaneous, less than 12 hours with no pain or bleeding.Dr. Bill is professional surrounded by team of professionals. My family and I have been going to Dr. Lam for many years now and are very happy with the service that we receive. The service is very professional and friendly and they always try to accommodate booking us as a family together. My kids have been going there since their first dental examinations and are teenagers now. They know Dr. Lam and the staff well and actually look forward to going to the dentist! I highly recommend Dr. Lam and the office for their knowledgable and professional services.

Dr. Lam has been my dentist for over 35 years, and I have no complaints whatsoever! He is professional, and is always well versed on new developments in dentistry. He has a great team of professionals working with him who will go to extra lengths to troubleshoot insurance issues. The dental hygienists are extremely thorough, and offer great advice. He has also provided excellent care for both my son and granddaughter over the years. I would highly recommend his service to anyone looking for general/specialized treatment and/or surgery.

i heard excellent things about Dr Lam, so my dentist when she referred me to a periodontist, i chose Dr Lam as he has LANAP. I called today at 11.15 am to ask how to get my dr Anita chang to transfer my files to him , including my week old x-rays. the receptionist did not even ask my name . she said ‘ do you have loose teeth, i said no then she said tell me about your pockets how many, i said these are my health details i do not wish to share randomly, will get an appointment with Dr Lam and start with sending my files, she said do not ask your dentist to transfer files, you do it and by the way i have to screen you , then she abused me verbally on the phone when i told her my dentist will transfer the files and said ‘ you will never get an appointment unless i screen you ‘ then she hung up, i really want dr lam or other staff to read this and make sure they correct this huge insult . i have never felt so traumatized and bullied by anyone, i look forward to hearing from dr lam,m or his manager .

I am a newcomer to Toronto and so pleased I went to Dr. Bill Lam for my dentistry issues. In a few months I have had several new crowns, new fillings, a thorough checkup and a cleaning. With one of the crowns, Dr. Lam went the extra mile to ensure the colour of the tooth exactly matched the one next to it.Dr. Lam is thorough, gentle and up to date with new techniques. During a procedure he explains what he is doing so you understand what is going on. He givers good advice and various options when appropriate.The staff who work with Dr. Lam are also professional, knowledgeable and helpful. They , along with Dr. Lam, put you at ease. I shall be staying with him and give him a rating of 5+ out of 5.

I have been Dr. Lam’s patient for well over twenty years. He is an excellent dentist: very knowledgeable, thorough, and approachable. I would recommend him whether you simply need a routine checkup, have a specific dental issue that needs attention, or require a more advanced procedure. Dr. Lam is skilled and adept at all varieties of dental work, and he always takes the time to explain everything clearly to his patients and offer them a good choice of treatments/solutions. The dental hygienists also do a great a job, and Shalini and the other office staff are friendly and helpful. The practice is very modern and well equipped, conveniently located in the heart of a major commercial hub. Highly recommended!

I have been going to Dr. Lam for about 18 years now. A while back I was unhappy with my smile so he suggested I try bonding. I did and I was really happy with the results. This year I had to replace the bonding but they presented the option of veneers. With the guidance of Dr. Lam and him team including Shalini, they walked me through the process of obtaining veneers in order to achieve the best results possible. This included whitening my teeth. They were incredibly patient with me and truly guided me to making the best decision. I honestly am incredibly happy with the end result. I love my smile! There is no other dentist I would have trusted. Dr. Lam and his Team and are amazing people who don’t treat you just as a patient but like family. I highly recommend Dr. Lam not only for veneers but for any dental service. You will be impressed with his expertise and kindness.

Dr. Lam is an excellent dentist! Very knowledgeable and uses state-of-the art equipment. We found him through a recommendation from a friend of us. My husband, our four children, and I have been Dr. Lam's patients for many years now. We are very happy with the service provided by him. His staff is superb, from the receptionist, hygienists, to the assistants. The practice manager, Shalini, is extremely professional and treats patients with respect. Also, the office is very spacious and modern. Highly recommended!
