I had never sought out the services of an interior designer until Kalu Interiors. I had very little context regarding what to expect or even what to ask. I didn't even know what I wanted! I just knew I wanted an upgraded living room space.Aleem is absolutely fabulous! From the moment he walked into my house, I knew that I had made the right choice. He's professional, efficient, and thoughtful. He was able to put together a vision for our living room space in minutes. The process thereafter was straightforward and easy to navigate. I love how clearly he was able to articulate, and then demonstrate his ideas. His team was also great to deal with.At the end of it.....we have a BEAUTIFUL living room. It has completely changed the feel of our house. Thank you Aleem. I'm already looking forward to the next project with you :)

Aleem and Vanessa were great helping our family renovate and design our primary residence. Each step of the way, they were professional and knowledgable guiding us through tough decisions sharing their expertise and experience in the field. When the project was completed we were very happy with the results and love spending time at home (more than ever). Highly recommend Kalu if you need help with a renovation or redesign.

My experience with Kalu was excellent and I would recommend them for anyone seeking a renovation. This job was renovating the kitchen and bathroom in a 523 sq ft 1990’s era condo conversion in a heritage brick former warehouse on Gastown. Aleem recommended finishes for my kitchen including countertop, backsplash tiles, fridge and range hood, cabinet door wraps as well as new lighting throughout the entire apartment. Aleem also suggested a complete redo of the bathroom, removing a soaker tub and installing a spectacular walk-in shower that maximizes the space and is a daily joy to experience. All finishes in the bathroom and kitchen repeat or reference one another to bring cohesion to the small space. The updated kitchen, redone bathroom and low profile lighting have completely transformed the space to be bright, welcoming and contemporary. Aleem was very responsive and managed all aspects of the renovation and arrangements, suggesting beautiful, functional and affordable solutions and finishes. Summer 2021 was a high demand period for trades and labour, coupled with a shortage and backlog of product. Aleem scheduled around these challenges and chose mostly in stock product to minimize disruption. I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience and the results.

We have purposely waited until now, 3 years after the fact, to do this review, just to see how our renovations have held up over the test of time.
