Headquarters Campground

Picked this for WiFi access. Wifi coverage is great, but NO internet connectivity...When asked I was told that there is no internet because of COVID19: that makes no sense to me....

Got a cool spot there last minute. Location is great, walking distance to the town of Alma and also to the beach. Washrooms were very clean.

Nice location, walking distance to Alma. Facilities were older, not nearly as nice as we experienced in other parks. Our site was large and fairly private. Many sites were very open. There was a large communal fire pit but it was in the middle of a field next to three sites. Those people had no privacy and had a gathering of 6-10 people next to them each night til quiet time at 11:00. We could tell they were bothered.

Very close to Alma in case you need supplies. The campground itself is very nice with Otentiks.

Had an un-serviced site in the small loop. It was clean, quiet and very close to restrooms and the stairs down to the beach and park entrance in Alma so I could walk to the village for shopping and activities.Great experience, would return.

Beautiful spot, level sites clean and immaculate.

The campground is fine, but the washroom/bathroom facilities are a bit outdated.

This campground has something for everyone. There's tent sites, RV sites, oTENTicks, and Yurts to stay in. There's also communal fire pits, many washroom/shower/laundry facilities, cook shelters, WiFi, and directly connects to the Salmon River trail and a short walk into Alma.We stayed in one of the Yurts. They're much larger on the inside than you would think. They have a table and chairs, a bunk bed set with a double mattress on bottom and twin on top, a futon-style couch/bed, a propane fireplace inside and a charcoal grill outside. Also, they have solar powered lights inside so you can enjoy the space even after dark.The only downside to the Yurts is the walls are pretty thin so you can easily hear neighbours talking inside their yurt next door and the traffic on the road directly below.

Great location and facilities were good quality. The communal fire pits are larger than at typical campsites, but the people at the adjacent campsites seem to take ownership of them.
