Auberge Knowlton
Loved my stay here. This is a more authentic place and some of the better food in town. If you are hungry try the casserol. The meat is tender, the soup is rich, grab a glass of red wine and you are in for a great meal!

Don’t expect to sleep in this outdated, very noisy establishment. Air conditioning unit in window, too loud, too cold, no in between. Windows open and you get traffic at all times of night. Surprising for a small town with barely any tourists. Paid for 2 nights but left after one. Don’t expect reimbursement or compensation, which didn’t happen, but do expect a surprised look and nothing else. Avoid a stay here.

Very basic room for the price. No coffee nor tea in the rooms. Nice confy, clean beds. Smart TV very old movies only.We had made a reservation for brunch and it took almost 40 minutes before getting our food. There were people at 2 tables besides ours, restaurant was pretty empty. Food was extremely dissapointing. My french toast came with very dry bread barely any egg mixture around it. Very very dry and no taste. The toast were very dry as well, the fries had no taste. I will not go back to this place. I have experienced far better in the area for a lower price.

The rooms were relatively clean, if a bit spartan and tiny. It felt like it was furnished with leftovers from a recently deceased relative's home with no real attempt at decor. The walls were paper thin and no one made any effort to keep voices down in the common areas - we were awakened every 20 minutes from about 7:45 am on. Restaurant had a mediocre breakfast, and service was very spotty. Apparently there is a coffee machine and a shared veranda" somewhere

People working there were pleasant, but it was quite noisy in the morning, you hear people walking, phones ringing, and someone knocked on our door at 9:30 and then again at 10:30. The cleaning lady said it wasn't her. It was annoying to be woken up for nothing. We couldn't find the do not disturb bc it was not hung on door, was hung on coat rack. If ur an early riser, it should be fine. Beds okay, clean room

Breakfast at 45 $ for two eggs, bacon, ordinary potatoes and very ordinary toast. Good service, horrible rapport qualité-prix.

Went to have a bite to eat and a drink but it felt like we were not wanted. Our waitress (Jen), took our food order after leaving us with a glass of water but not even asking if we wanted to order drinks.We were left to our selves and when asking if certain things were available we received a sharpe NO, not no sorry or offered an alternative, just no!There were 4 of us and we all felt that we were not welcome at all.I have been visiting Knowlton for 17 years and never been treated like this at this venue. In this economy I would have thought a little more care would be taken but alas not according to Jen.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights (check-in Feb 9th - check-out February 12th, 2023). We booked 2 rooms and had room 6 and room 2.The hotel is a heritage building and is quaint. The staff members are very friendly but not on site 24 hours a day.The shower in room 6 did not work and was not fixed during our stay. We were given a free breakfast for the inconvenience. This was a nice offer but not adequate for having a room for three days without a shower. When we  told  the staff about the issue they said usually you can get it work.  The same room did not have hot water Saturday night.On the second floor you can hear the front door of the hotel on the first floor open and slam shut. It’s loud enough to wake you up during the night. You can hear noise from the rooms close-by - foot steps, the shower/bath go on and off,  music and the conversations from the adjacent rooms. This noise made it hard to watch tv and sleep.  Overall not a great experience at the hotel.

Lovely little hotel. The support staff were excellent and very hands on. A step set of interior stairs to access check in and the rooms but very quaint and great location. Parking was scarce and no handicapped parking provided but we were accomodated

Even though they were fully booked with reservations they found a table for the two of us. Excellent food and stellar service! Only issue is limited parking, but still no big deal.
