Edit: Had to check the other reviews of this place and I'm not surprised seeing the negatives listed. This USED to be a great place. It's sad. Fix the honesty and customer service and you would have a winner.Original:Not impressed with the changes at this place. Been going off and on for years now and while the pastries and such are still decent; but CHECK the prices first and DOUBLE CHECK your bill.Playing games with what you charge customers is a sure fire way to lose customers.I was foolish and didn't think to double check my bill and and ended up paying FAR too much for what I ordered (like faaaaarrr too much. That's what I get for being in a rush)Lesson learned.DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BILL AND DON'T TRUST IT'S CORRECT.

Absolute Bakery is absolutely delicious! The highlights for me are the danishes and croissants. I love that there are so many Danish and croissant flavors to choose from. And if you come early, they are freshly baked and warm. The danishes are filled with just a good amount of fruit and jam, and the bread is soft and buttery, not too sweet, which is nice. All the croissants are also so buttery and delicious. I usually don't like cheese croissants but theirs are incredibly well-made. Their chocolate croissants are good, but are a little too sweet for me, but overall I think most people would enjoy them. Customer service is so nice and so efficient. Bravo on the quality of the food and employees!Suggestion: please have the option to take the bakery items in a paper bag, not just the square cardboard box. The box is often too big, difficult to carry, and it's less environmentally friendly.The place might need a bit of a renovation, just to brighten up the bakery and make it look more modern.Note: pricing is somewhat high, but you get what you're paying for, so in my books, it's worth it!

After having dinner in the area we were deciding on a place to go for some dessert, when we happened upon this bakery, which was still open after 8pm, and decided to check it out. Best decision ever. Everything looked and smelled great. Bought a variety of different baked goods - Pigs Ears, tarts, turnovers, chocolate brownies to take home. Everything was delicious. Everything. While we were there, a couple mentioned to us the spinach and cheese croissant were amazing (I think they said croissants). We should have bought them as well! Next time we're in the area, we'll definitely take time to visit again.

Lived near Cabbagetown for 14 yrs. Due to the pandemic since March 2020, I have been walking and buying from the local shops. Today I walked into the bakery to buy a beefy patty and an apple Danish. It was delicious. I spoke with the woman staff and she was kind plus professional. I will come back again next weekend to buy some more items. Thank you.

Amazing bakery, everything is delicious!Poppy seed and cheese pastries are by far the most special and my favourite. Haven’t found them anywhere else.Almond croissant also great. They also make these delicious rotis, quite spicy though, so keep that in mind.Beautiful cakes also, a little on the very sweet side though. I much preferred their fruit tarts, they look pretty and taste good.The only thing I didn’t find to my taste was their breads - they look pretty but they are fluffy and a little artificial. But that’s ok, I just don’t get bread here. I stick to their delicious pastries!

The absolute best bakery. Sooooo underrated, i used to come there as a child because my uncle owned the video shop across the street. And it was always a pleasure. I'm looking forward to going bck after 20 years.

Cheese danish is delish ($3) and whole-wheat bread was fresh fresh (hot out of the oven) - $5.50. But they charge you $.50 for using visa.
