The Gardener - Kitchener Waterloo

Earlier this week, one of your staff members in a commercial truck (how I know to leave this review) was in front of me at a stoplight. To my shock and horror, he opened his door and dumped trash out into the road. Closed his door and drove off. Very disappointing to see and given your organization, unless you were trying to create new business for yourself, a reason to think twice about using your services.

Very happy with 2 years of seasonal grass cutting. Lawrence and team come at the same time each week, keep the edging nice and sharp and clean up the areas around the grass really well.

3 months in to summer service and numerous service problems present, numerous billing problems present. Very rude and unproffessional office staff, no emails or phone calls ever returned. The WORST company I have dealt with in my 43 years on earth.

I just signed up for The Gardener's KW franchise for my 7th year of snow removal service. The service has always been reliable, hence coming back year after year. I've also used The Gardiner for summer landscaping services for a few years (I stopped this year because I wanted to get back to doing more of that myself), and the quality of care in that regard has been exceptional. Bottom line, the price is right for my budget, the service delivers and Laurence (the owner) is a great guy to deal with and always quickly responds to any of my inquiries.

these guys are great, been using them for 7 years for snow plowing and lawn maintenance. Any concerns were dealt with by the owner in a timely fashion, I highly recommend them.

This company continually cleans up the leaves on a neighbouring yard, by blowing them onto my property. The work crew is always different and the owner does not respond to complaints. It would be a simple matter to make a note of this issue and inform workers. The Gardener Waterloo uses an extremely easy way for them to tidy up their job site, while being completely disrespectful to surrounding owners. Sloppy and inconsiderate.

This comment pertains only to snow removal service.If i could rate lower, i would. First time experience was terrible. Quality was very poor ... they only ever cleared sidewalk on one half of property (never on other side of driveway). Complaints about this would go ignored with no response. Worst of all, whenever there was a significant snowfall, they would not clear within 24 hour bylaw requirements. Our property was not meeting the accessibility needs of others in the neighborhood, so, i started just having to do it myself despite paying these jokers. Definitely would not recommend.

I have been very satisfied with the lawn and snow removal service provided by Laurence at The Gardener. Any time I have had a question or comment, he replies very quickly. Any suggestions or requests are dealt with promptly. I find the communication with The Gardener to be excellent.

Last winter they did a poor job on two properties (for the part of season they were doing it, not even the entire season). Just one example, in one of the properties, our car got stuck in the snow for 45 minutes and it was several hours after the snow finished. In the other, it was a corner lot, and people were walking in the streets for days and the side side-walk was not cleared after many snow falls with the excuse that we didn't communicate to them in the first place.They are arrogant, when it comes to handling your complains.The business owner is a franchisee and The Gardener which is the Franchisor says on the contract the sole responsibility for the performance of the contract is with the owner. So don't think you're dealing with a well-established company with standard work flows and many branches in different cities. In fact, it doesn't seem they are much more than a call center which only serve to delay communication with the owner.Save yourself a lot of headache.--------EDIT: Despite the owner's claim, this case is still open in the small claim court.

You pay them for snow removal and they don’t show up. Zero costumer service, arrogant people.Read the other comments because it’s true.If I could give 0 I would.Avoid doing business with them.
