Just started the process with BBB and within 4 days an Agent closed my file on me. To upload window built into the website is very confusing in terms of if any item has been uploaded. The agent I got lacks patience or sympathy towards consumers. She did no clarify on the item that she's seeking and wrote the responses in very ambiguous terms. She did not respond to phone call or the voice message that was left to her inbox.I consider myself a person with decent amount of computer knowledge. But this work flow so far has been an disappointment and I fear for people with disability or face challenges navigating their website.I will have to file again, hopefully this is not a waste of time.Update:An Agent followed up with me within a day that I made this google review post. Upon sending the updated files, my case was able to be pushed through immediately.I am giving 2 more stars for the speed of the turn around but I think this is a lot of added effort from a client to go through to file their case or make an appeal.

BBB's complaint system did not receive any of my replies so they simply closed my case... I am trying to reach someone now to re-open my case as I have been waiting months for a refund that I have not received...UPDATE (2022-12-16): BBB was able to re-open my case & re-contacted the business. Eventually, with the help of Consumer Protection Ontario & BBB, I received a refund.

The bureau is supposed to be a consumer advocacy group but when I filed a complaint against a business the bureau then closed the case without allowing me to respond. It's obvious that the bureau is only there to allow the business to respond to a complaint and then close that complaint if it seems satisfactory even if the response the business provided was a lie.I have in fact contacted BBB several times including at the general phone number and still no explanation for the above situation.

BBB is a waste of time. They have the company RELAXACARE owner Jason P as responding to resolve when not such thing has occurred. NO refunds from the corrupt deceitful bait n switch company Relaxacare who threatened me in emails during the BBB filings... unreal. Relaxacare a corrupt abusive lying business was protected by BBB who says they just provide a place to work it out YOU CANT WORK OUT SOLUTIONS WITH LYING THUGS> I want my full refund for fraudulent business practices by RELAXACARE- JasonP.I didnt receive any refunds from Relaxacare so nothing was offered to resolveI dont read their lying abusive posts... the lack of any refund to my bank account told me it hasnt been resolved in the only way to resolve this corrupt matter..BBB was just revictimized retraumized me further where the liars kept lying and the facts dont change.Im expecting a full refund for their bait n switch corruption and lies false promises to get me to pay and they lied about delivery but I had cancelled before that twice then sustained unacceptable level of abuse from Jason P the ownerBBB is not a resolution centre its a 'lets us fight it out' and the facts dont change and they offered no resolutions. I want my full refund from these criminals ... this is deeply violating and has taken a toll on my health... again no money has been refunded and if he thought I owed him a stocking fee as he threatens all those who call him out for unethical behaviour...for any refund then thats all we should be disputing this 10-20% which is still wrong yet he holds my entire amount of almost 3000.00 hostageI feel like Iam being robbed by them in daylightwith BBB permissionBBB is a sham an obsolete useless service that protects the scumBUYERS BEWARE DONT SHOP AT RELAXACARE owner JASON PBBB you should be ashamed of yourselves all you do is revictimize consumer victims and hug the thugs!

I sent a review request in March 2023. BBB advises it takes 3-10 business days for the company to respond, which then will be posted. It is now May 2023, more than 10 business day, and no communication has been received. I followed up with BBB again, and still no one has responded to my questions. Great customer service, eh?

The Better Business Bureau’s complaint process did nothing but allow for me to be further mistreated by the business I filed a complaint about. The business (Surplus Mattress & Furniture Warehouse in Kitchener) very clearly lied in their responses and the BBB not only allowed it, but encouraged it by closing the case without the business having to prove any of their false claims. They allowed this business to lie about me and lie about how they dealt with me. I would discourage anyone from going to the Better Business Bureau for help with resolving an issue involving a bad business. Try the Board of Consumers as they have no vested interest in only helping businesses that pay to be associated/accredited by them. Complaints filed about non-affiliated businesses simply get closed, as I’m seeing is the case with many of the other reviews. I truly feel as though an actual person did not even bother to review my responses. At the very least, I now have added valid documentation of the business implicating itself to use as evidence in a civil lawsuit. So very disheartened by the poor service from the BBB.
