Pearl and Pine Retirement Residence

Director of care does not know what he is doing.The nurses expressed that the tenants were being neglected and the building is severely understaffed.We have chosen to leave and received exceptional care elsewhere.However, the retirement home has a long list of amenities and is finished in all luxury - If your loved ones are able to care for themselves.

Although beautiful and some good staffing .we encountered several problems with med delivery giving us someone else's meds when mom left.not communicating with family staff shortages. With the price you pay level of care seriously lacking

My mother-in-law lives here. Getting her initially set up over a year ago was a breeze - they were amazing here. Her place is beautiful, she enjoys the food, and the people. The building is always clean. There are lots of activities and close to the downtown. They provide regular trips daily to Mapleview for those who dont have transportation. The staff here are wonderful and attentive. We are so glad she is here.

A beautiful place to be. All of the seniors are kind, active, and welcoming. All of the staff are amazing as well! There are so many activities and outings for residents to attend on a daily basis. I feel comfortable knowing my grandparents are taken care of :)

My Mother and I recently toured Pearl and Pine and were very impressed by everything we saw.There is an uplifting atmosphere as residents are quite active and vibrant. Card games, swimming, indoor bocce, a cooking demo and other great activities were being enjoyed by many.Megg Markettos was our gracious host and provided us with all the information we needed to help in our decision process. Efficient service good and friendly staff excellent food . Beautiful ambience

My Mother-in-law lives here.We chose this residence after touring most of the others in Burlington.This was the nicest in our opinion.Beautiful inside, excellent food, nice bright suites and very professional, thoughtful staff.Couldn't be happier with her choice!Professionally, I visit all the local retirement homes and LTC homes. I know them all, and the P&P is easily the best in the area.

This is the place to be when it's my time to enter a senior home

This past year our family looked at a variety of retirement options with my mom including: downsizing to a condo, private home care services, moving in with the kids, and numerous different retirement communities across Burlington and the surrounding area. She finally decided to try the Pearl and Pine Retirement Residence. My mom moved in this past June 2022 under their three-month trial package where the apartment comes with all the basic furnishings. It was a great way for her to try the Pearl and Pine without any major long-term commitments.Within just weeks of moving in, my mom knew this was the perfect fit for her retirement lifestyle needs. She is now living there permanently. At the Pearl and Pine, my mom has access to the supports she may need while still retaining her independence and active social life. Our family has peace of mind knowing she is happy, safe, and thriving in her senior years.Below is a review of what I think most people either looking at retirement homes for themselves or their loved-ones may want to know about the Pearl and Pine.STAFF:The staff are extremely friendly, caring and unbelievably hard working. A big thank you to Rachel, Brenda and Brenda (yes there are more than one Brenda, LOL) for making my mom's transition into Pearl and Pine a smooth one. There are simply too many amazing staff here to possibly list them all.APARTMENT STYLES & COST:Apartments range from 1-bed, 1-bed+den, 2-bed, and 2-bed+den. Approx. cost range is $6,500-$10,000+ per month based on unit size and view. The bigger the unit and the better the view, the higher the cost.WHAT'S INCLUDED:The apartment itself, daily bed making and garbage removal, weekly apartment cleaning, electricity, water, basic phone, cable, basic internet (wifi option extra), three delicious meals + snacks daily, shuttle service, chauffeur service, activities both on-site and off-site , lots of different building amenities (i.e. salt water pool, exercise room, 24-7 nurse on-site, daily morning resident safety check-in, emergency wrist bracelet that the tenant can push and be located anywhere in the building if they need help, a movie room, roof top patio, free underground visitor parking and so much more).Each apartments has hook-ups for stackable washer/dryers, but the apartments do not come with those appliances. Tenants can bring their own or purchase them through the residence for approx. $1,500+ for a set. Building caretaking can hook them-up on behalf of residents. The building does have FREE shared laundry amenities on a few different floors which residents may use if that is preferred.There is also a doctor who comes in once a week for residents who choose to become their patient.I am sure there is more I am missing.WHAT'S EXTRA:There are numerous add on services and options, like reserved underground resident parking spots, visitor suites, having staff deliver medications to residents, porter service, on-site LifeLab service, etc. Customizable add-on services are available for additional fees as a senior resident's needs grow and change as they age in place.FOOD:Yum! There are lots of food choices and the menu always has new options. The quality of the food is excellent.LOCATION:This is the perfect downtown location for social active seniors. Pearl and Pine is conveniently located on a quiet picturesque Burlington side street while just steps (even by cane or walker) from numerous trendy restaurants, shops, salons, spas, medical services, the lake and more.COMMUNITY:Pearl and Pine is like an all-inclusive high-end luxury active seniors resort experience. Think Four Seasons quality. The youngest resident is approx. 65 and the oldest 100+. Residents are super friendly, down to earth and very welcoming. There are couples, single males and many single female residents. This residence is perfect for seniors who want to down-size and have a hassle-free and stress-free retirement lifestyle.
