Recently, we could not fit our garbage in our provided bin. As required, we left a bag beside the bin with a garbage sticker clearly placed on it. The contents of the bin were taken, the additional bag was not. I'm disappointed in the fact we did everything right and still the additional bag was not taken away. Now under the new system, that bag will not be collected for at least two more weeks. With bear sightings increasing in the area, this is unacceptable. I look forward to an improvement in service and the possibility of giving a better rating in the future!

Garbage is not being picked up. Tried calling them it goes to voicemail and just hangs up. Called City of Vernon and they said they’ll inform them of the missed pick up and told me to leave my garbage out. It’s been 4 days now and nothing is being picked up…Had a similar problem with them a few months back.

This company is a disgrace to any recycling company, they are way too picky with the way you have to recycle, they give excuses when you call and make up rules that aren’t actual rules and they try to blame Recycle BC for all of it, they have no accountability for their actions and the owner of waste management BC is no better. Our truck use to have a claw on it so we could have bigger recycle bins picked up then all of a sudden they discontinued those trucks so they won’t pick up big bins anymore, but you call to complain and they blame their workers saying they shouldn’t have picked them up in the first place. Then they don’t do anything about it and say that the bins could be over 40 lbs which is too heavy, even though labour laws say 50 and they have no scale to check. How does it make sense to get rid of the claw trucks if you are worried about employees getting hurt, all trucks should have claws on them to reduce the risk of workplace injury and make it so we can actually recycle everything that is recyclable, which by the way is pretty much anything with the technology we have at our disposal. They also try to claim no sorting happens before the recycle process, if that’s true then create more jobs by hiring people to sort it at the depot for christ sake.

what a terrible service this company provides. The recycling rules are so excessive that they always seem to find some excuse to not pick up the recycling. Last time they left half the street not picked up. Maybe this is how they skim profits by not picking up half the waste but still being payed to do it all by our tax dollars.

Asked for bins over 2 months ago...they said they were running a bit behind...no accountability, poor service...guys picking up recycling were fine...it is the office people who are the issue here.Edit May 27th; Company dropped full set of bins off immediately the next day. Thank you.

Constant missed pick ups and I can never get a hold of anyone at the office as the number goes straight to a full voice mail. Changed our entire waste program and didn't proved proper information about what goes where or where to leave our bins. I'm not blaming the 1 person in the local office but the company needs to do better.

I have been waiting for over two months for recycling bins after mine were run over. I have called the Vernon office repeatedly to inquire about when my bins will be delivered and each time I was given a vague answer of running behind schedule" or "soon" or "within the next few days". I was advised the turn around time from submitting a request to when bins arrive is two weeks. It's been over two months! Now when I call the Vernon number it goes to voice mail that is full! I filed a complaint with their head office in Ontario and have also submitted a complaint to the RDNO. Whomever is running the collections department in Vernon needs to pack up and go. 1.3 out of 5. Worst ratings on google reviews I've seen."

The driver noticed a plastic wrap at the top of recycling and rather than setting it aside or putting it in an empty container chose not to pick up the whole full bin. Their office said they are not supposed to pick up recycling if there is a wrong material in a bin. So, they choose to punish for a minor error and leave recycling behind because of that. For a little thing that should not be there not to puck the bin that is recyclable. Way to go in providing services to residents. Maybe they think we work for them?

Worst environmental contractor in the business. Never on time and liberal with excuses. Do not respond to customer concerns, have an answering machine that directs you to a site where you can contact them and express concern but cannot get a response. I think their website is designed for the environmental followers but there is no data to back up the claim that they are stewards of the environment.

Picked up loads from here. Terrible backup keep your log book in off all the time because minimum takes 3 hours to get loaded. Scale is on the other side which cause major delays.Apart from that people are nice.
