Ritchie did an amazing job on our chimney. We were at a complete loss because our fireplace smoked and smoked and we didn't have a solution. I knew we had found a true expert when Ritchie came over and figure out the problem and how to solve it. He is incredibly responsible, honest, CAPABLE, solution oriented and honestly, I can't say enough good things about him and his business. In an area where there are few experts and pros Ritchie is a standout. I never do reviews but am so grateful to have a true working fireplace, I want to spread the word around!!!

My wife and I approached Idaho Fireplace and Chimney to perform some tuck-pointing and repairs to our existing chimney, which included replacing several missing and damaged bricks, adding a precast concrete cap, a nice stainless steel vent, and some sealer to finish the work off. We primarily interfaced with Ritchie who was very professional and responsive. He provided a great run down of options we had and price points for each of them to allow us to basically add to the scope as we felt was appropriate. I asked many questions to clarify the scope and to understand why and when and where something was needed, and Ritchie was patient, detailed, and honest in his answers and was never dismissive or evasive. His team showed up on time and the work turned out great and exceeded our expectations. They even generously caulked the concerning gaps at the flashing around the chimney base for free, to hold it over until a roof replacement in the spring. Idaho Fireplace was reliable, professional, completely transparent and trustworthy. They do exemplary work. You would be foolish to hire anyone else. I have used them for fireplace inspections both gas and wood, gas fireplace tune-ups and a major fireplace repair to fix the damage another company caused. I am impressed every time and plan on hiring them for my fireplace needs in the future.

Ritchie and his crew did an outstanding job today cleaning my fireplace and chimney in preparation for winter. No mess was made at all. Our older home needs some chimney tile repair work and Ritchie explained everything needing to be done that's easy to understand including supporting pictures. His knowledge is superior. Would recommend Ritchie and Idaho Chimney to all of my friends. They relined our chimney and installed a chimney crown & cap almost 2 years ago. We noticed the chimney crown was cracking/flaking, but Ritchie was amazing to work with when we reached out again. He came back to redo the cap and it was likely due to bad cement or weather, which is somewhat out of their control. Thank you Idaho Fireplace & Chimney!
