After recently moving into our new home our house was broken into. Fortunately, we were not home at the time and nobody was physically hurt. A home invasion was something we thought only happened to other people until it happened to us. When you experience an event like that it leaves you feeling helpless and concerned about the safety and wellbeing of your family. I chose to have a security system installed to alleviate some of these feelings and concerns. Obviously, I wanted to get a security system in place as quickly as possible and I started to research security companies and technologies immediately. I was referred to CURA Security by a work associate and reached out to Alex. After explaining to Alex what had happened and my concerns he quickly reassured me and offered some sound advice. Alex rearranged his schedule and was out to evaluate our house a few hours later. I was amazed at his knowledge and appreciated his recommendations. Although Alex could of taken advantage of the situation and over sold a security system to me, he instead understood my concerns and advised me to not spend extra money on unnecessary things as he understood it was an emotional time and stayed professional in his approach. Once we had decided what we wanted installed, Alex was quick to gather the components and worked around our families extremely busy schedule to get the system installed within the week. Alex came and installed the system himself as all his crews were already booked and he knew that without the system my family was having trouble sleeping through the night. I’m extremely happy with the leading edge technology that CURA Security uses for their systems and am still working with Alex to secure and automate other parts of our home. The pricing from CURA Security is extremely fair and competitive and the support has been great. If you are looking for a security system I would highly recommend CURA Security. Just before I moved in 2013, I set up a system with Cura. A month or so later, I moved and they came and set up the new system in my new house... All was transferred and now protected in the new place.Fast forward to February 2016, the cleaners came to my house on the wrong day and set off my alarm... This is where the fun begins. I did not get a phone call warning me that my alarm had gone off. My mum however saw a voicemail a day or so later saying the alarm went off AT MY OLD ADDRESS. So I called in to Cura and asked what's up...Took me about a month just to get my address updated. I received a bill for ~$100 for a false alarm and sending out the police. I have yet to receive a phone call after many calls into the company, text messages exchanged, various emails with the main company and the owner and follow ups, I even filed a formal complaint with the BBB with no response. I have followed up a few times since and now am calling yet again. He said last week he was still investigating... Well we're almost another week down and still no response after more checking in.... But really, four months of this? I paid for three years of service where I wasn't being provided the service I paid for. I am beyond disappointed in this company and their absolute crap customer service. They don't care about protecting your home and they've made it very clear with the lack of communication that we had. I wanted to get things dealt with in a private manner but... leave me nearly four months down the line, I will be open here about my experience. I have in the meantime switched companies. I'm far too fed up to put up with this. If you run a business, taking care of your clients should be top priority. I couldn't even be given the common courtesy of a phone call. Suggest if you or your friends deal with this company that you switch immediately.

Love having the security system for our new home. When we are away for holidays or travelling with work, there is no worries ever. And the ability to change the thermostat whether Im in the USA, Mexico or down the road has been magic. Love my Cura security system.

If you are looking for a protection/automation system for your home, these guys are the best! Their staff is very friendly and technicians knowledgeable (we had a few user error issues after install - and they walked us through step by step over the phone to resolve). Best of all they are one of the few Canadian businesses in this space in Calgary, and I felt great keeping my dollars local!
