My wife and I have crossed numerous times between Lubec and Campobello. Have always found the officers (on both sides) to be friendly, business like and respectful.

These US Border Patrol agents are some backwoods hostile neanderthals using their white male privilege to assault and detain life-long Americans for no reason other than chest thumping. The 5 white males need investigated and charged. I did not deserve to have my entire vehicle ransacked and my phone confiscated while you interrogated me for HOURS over some unsecured ArriveCan app I refused to blindly download.

We crossed back-and-forth between the US and Canada several times in 2019. We crossed at this post 3 or 4 times to visit Campobello island. One evening we crossed back into the US at about 10 PM after a really pleasant dinner on the island. We encountered an officer who seemed genuinely suspicious of us and hostile. First he wanted to see the paperwork for the rental car then after a..........long wait he actually had us open the trunk so he could search the car??? Since my wife and I are in our 60s and about as innocuous looking as possible this was both strange, creepy and unnecessary!

The border patrol had their equipment near the Lubec warf. Nicely, I asked them what they were doing and they responded with aggressive comments and utter rudeness. Conversely, the Coastguard in Eastport told us everything about their boats and procedures. I adore the Coastguard.
