I contacted Riverstone Insurance to purchase bonding insurance for my business. Even though my request was last minute, the Broker worked with me to put the bond in place very quickly. I was their client for home and auto the entire time I lived in Alberta. Not a single problem the entire 4 years. Fast friendly service every time I was in touch. The only time my rate changed was because a lower rate was found for me. This is what having an insurance broker as all about. Let them do the shopping to find the best rate for you. I used Riverstone for a year and wish I had changed brokers sooner. Every time I’ve contacted Riverstone, I’ve been passed off to a new broker, so I never know who I’m meant to direct my queries to. In the middle of my policy, my car died and I purchased a new car. They sent the updated policy to the incorrect address, and when I reminded them of my new address, they never sent the new policy to that address. Furthermore, I have sent multiple emails with questions that were simply never responded to. Nowadays, it’s just about impossible to get in touch with anyone...we’re in Phase II of pandemic reopening, I think there should be at least one person in the office to answer/redirect phone calls. The Covid-19 answering machine is extremely long, and doesn’t have clear instructions for how to get in touch with employees; though this might not have been a problem if I had a dedicated broker as opposed to 3 different people over the span of a year.

THIS right here is perfect customer service.As a young German traveller I went to Riverstone Insurance because I wanted to buy my very first car in a foreign country and wasn’t quite sure how it all works. I had many questions and my mind was full of „worst case scenarios“.. Kate showed me everything and explained to me what I need to do and how everything works out. At the end buying a car was the easiest thing I’ve ever done and I didn’t had to worry about anything. Kate knows her job and she is well good at it.Since my visa is only one year I have to leave the country soon and Kate helped me a lot with a specific problem I had. I don’t want to go in further detail about it but I can say that I never received such an amazing customer support anywhere else.I would recommend Kate to everyone I know. Absolutely amazing.

I have been with Riverstone Insurance for the past 7 years using their services for both auto and condo insurances. Staff and management have always been friendly, professional and knowledgeable in the intricacies of navigating through the various insurance coverage while finding the best prices. No response unless you leave a negative review here. They will then response very fast and ask you to change the review. When you try to contact them again, talking to the wall again.Friendly staffs at store, but the initial day I visited a year ago, they were training a new person at the reception that would ask you over and over for the same information because they lost it somehow again and again. It was an urgent request and I was promised to hear back on the same day. Of course it didn't happen after three business days still and no answer on calls or callback from voicemail. I drove 55 minutes again to their store and still no luck until someone finally reach out after I left my first comment here.Then I needed to add tenant insurance and got immediate response. That time was very impressed and I thought maybe they have improved. However, now that I have to renew my insurance. One of their agents told me to contact them again prior to renewal to see if price would go down. So I emailed them and no response of course. Thank you.

I contacted Riverstone Insurance Company a few months ago. They promised to get back to me within a few days. A few weeks passed with no news so I called again. I was given the same story - someone would contact me within a few days. No one did. This happened two more times and I have yet to receive a call back. It has been about 5 months since I originally contacted them. I find this kind of behaviour extremely unprofessional. What might happen if I needed to make a claim? Would I have wait months for that as well? Their behaviour is completely inexcusable and unjustifiable and to anyone considering engaging their services, I would suggest you try someone else - as I did.I did.
