Sherwin-Williams Paint Store

I called into this branch yesterday 26th April 2023.I was more or less passing having picked up a member of staff. I was heading to Caledonia so this store was ideal.I was approached by an older gentleman whose name I know but will leave here as a courtesy and who, from the offset was abrupt, unfriendly and rude.He spoke to me like I was some sort of young kid, wet behind the ears, and had no clue what I was doing. Unknown to him I have been in the painting industry for over 40 years, lived in 4 countries and had two very successful businesses in two of those countries.Having initially served me (and I use those words loosely) he left me with his young Asian assistant, who I have to say was extremely pleasant and professional, who closed the sale with a smile and have a good day with thanks.It turned out that this older gentleman was his boss.Shouldn’t he be showing his younger staff how to speak to customers in a polite, friendly manner?Fortunately there are many S-W stores where I have had exceptional service in and around Hamilton and I will certainly be giving Rymal Rd a wide birth in the future.

Great experience. Staff helped me select a paint based on a 11 year old non-weathered sample and phone pictures of the weathered colour I was trying to match. The selection came very close so I returned as they had suggested to lighten it up a bit and it was perfect on the 2nd try!!! Thanks!

The store is under new management with a new team. Great energy and a lot of new products. They carry festool sanders now too. A good one-stop for painters and DIYs

Great staff! I've been in there a few times now and been helped by different people. They took the time to help me with my project and gave me a lot of useful advice. They even have a coloring area for little kids.

Friendly, helpful staff. Watch for great sales on paint.
