I had dealt with Jocelyn back in January/February for the burial arrangements of my father and grandmother. She was absolutely amazing in all aspects and met all of our family’s needs and expectations for the burial. I would recommend her and mount lawn/arbor to anyone when the time comes.

Honestly cannot recommend this place enough! They took such good care of my family during this tough time and handled our needs with such understanding and consideration. The grounds were also well maintained, which we appreciated as well.

AMAZING!! The staff are caring, compassionate, patient and professional. I highly recommend them!! I'm even making my arrangements as soon as possible to be certain my family is cared for as I was during the recent death of my loved one.

We had pre-planned with them, so a lot of things were looked after. When meeting with a representative to organize the celebration of life, internment, etc, we were so impressed. They were helpful, professional, caring & made us feel the process was completely up to us. They guided us where needed and were never, ever pushy with anything. We appreciated all of their help and care. A week or so after the funeral we met again with them and they assisted with all kinds of paperwork for the government, etc. I can’t tell you how much they took off our plate! From having clergy on hand to recommend (who were outstanding), to an incredible reception with food/drink, to guiding us through the entire process from start to finish. Amy was incredible and we will be forever grateful for the help we received during such a difficult time.

There is not enough stars above to give the staff at Mount Lawn Funeral Home the credit that they deserve. They went above and beyond for our family every step of the way, we didn't feel rushed while trying to make very difficult decisions with the service we wanted for our sons funeral. Carley & Jocelyn were very supportive, professional and genuinely thoughtful which made this very difficult process possible. It’s always stressful and overwhelming when you lose a family member. That is why it’s so important to have respectful and supportive staff at the funeral home you pick for your loved ones. I have never seen such disgraceful and unprofessional behaviour at a funeral home until this past week. Do yourself and your family a favour and do not make a sad day even worse by using this facility.

Coming from someone who also works in death care, this place is a disaster and completely disrespectful to grieving families. They care too much about how they look and often will throw out keepsakes left in the cemetery for loved ones. They also only care about how much you pay for your service, and if you have a social services based funeral they will do the absolute bare minimum and it’s embarrassing on their part.

I originally contacted Mount Lawn to trace where my father's first cousins were buried, as I wanted to visit the cemetery to see their gravestones, to further our family tree and contact living relatives. Richard Lorenzin was most helpful initially when I gave him birth and death dates for the 3 cousins, and upon my request for plot locations, emailed me a cemetery map with the plot locations. He graciously invited me to contact him when I was planning to vist, which I did this past Wednesday. Richard also personally helped me find 2 of the brothers' gravestones, and luckily found a baby's little circular disc that was covered by the grass. Unfortunately, we were unable to find the third brother's cremation plaque in the cemetery's designated in the Apostles Walled Unit, although we found his name on the Wall of Memories. Richard then took the extra time to research the cemetery records once again, taking well over 30 minutes.Richard very graciously and personally helped me locate 2 of the 3 relatives I was visiting, but went far and above in solving the missing" gravestone by his extra research into the cemetery records.
