Carol and Earl's Restaurant

Amazing Clubhouse sandwich with real turkey and a great waiter, actually it was Earl. Entertaining and good food.

Carol and Earls is the best place to get food in Manitoulin Island. Worth the drive from anywhere on the island. Everything is made from scratch and with love and Earl the owner is very proud of that. 100% would recommend their Liver and Onions or their Club House Sandwiches. My sister loves their hot hamburgers!

Amazing food and great hosts!! We really appreciated the hospitality. Earl and Carol kept our reservation for supper past their last call of orders for the night,as we were running late due to a traffic backup near Mindemoya. They welcomed us with such warmth and their homegrown veggies were scrumptious. We had so much food that we had to take some back to our cottage for lunch!! Must visit place!! Ask to try their fish and chicken rice soup!!! Kids meals are huge!! Covid rules in place...very neat amd clean!!

Stopped in for lunch with a friend after a week long camping trip to kill some time before the ferry. They have done a fabulous job accommodating for covid and picked our spirits up after a rainy morning. We had yellow perch with fries and could not have had better service! Earl, his wife, and sister told us some great stories and we had such good conversation about life and Earl even showed us his beautiful garden our back. Highly recommend this stop to anyone! Plus the washroom has a fun quirk lol!

Oh the yellow perch fish was really awesome, they are fresh. I can tell of the texture of the fish it was very tender in my mouth. Also is very important are everything home made delicious foodies. I love the fish and I would like coming back to this place every time I come to manitoulin island.

My family and I went down to Manitoulin Island to go see the Pow Wow on this past long weekend. We woke up starving and went out for breakfast which sounds like an easy task. Unfortunately we went to two other places who wouldn't serve us because of my husband's allergies. They weren't even willing to clean a separate part of the grill and use cleaned utensils and asked us to eat somewhere else. We went down to Carol and Earl's and received amazing service. The waitress wasn't sure of the ingredients in some of the food so she got the owner who makes the food to come talk to us. He went over the items we were interested in eating and made us feel welcome! We got our lunch and it was all homemade and delicious! For desert I had a huge slice of the butterscotch pie and it was amazing!! I suggest anyone whose visiting the island who wants amazing food and service to stop by!

Stopped in for supper and the first thing we saw was the cabinets of homemade pies! Makes it hard to go on in and order supper, but we did. Hot turkey sandwiches, SO good and so much food for the price. Earl prides himself on making everything from scratch, REAL food. Good food, good prices, good service. And it's nice to see the locals in there as well. Highly recommended!

We ended up at Carol and Earl's as we were super hungry and most of the restaurants are closed early during COVID times in the island. The hosts were warm and welcoming. The fish and chips was tasty and would say one of the best dishes of the house, comes in big portions as well. Unfortunately, there wasn't much Vegetarian options for my partner. She just went with a grill cheese and pies which were pretty decent.

Great quality, delicious, homemade food (fresh cut fries, house made burgers, etc). Huge portions for the price. We enjoyed chatted with Earl for a bit, he seems like a great guy and was very friendly. Will definitely be stopping in again the next time we're in the area! It is cash only, so make sure to have some on hand before coming in for an amazing meal.

Amazing !! We went to Carol and Earl’s while we were vacationing at the end of August. We got off the ferry at 7:00pm to find other restaurants were closed. Arrived at Carol and Earl’s to find they had just closed too. As I was walking back to our truck, thinking of how to tell my hungry wife and kids that we weren’t having dinner that night, Earl opened the door and called out to me. He said that the grills were all turned off but the fryer was still hot so he could make us fish and chips. He prepared us a very generous serving of delicious fish, fries , homemade coleslaw and a fantastic chicken and rice soup made from scratch. It was all soooo good !!!The next morning as we were leaving town, we saw Earl and stopped to say thank you for saving the day with a great meal . We talked for quite a while. Such a nice man ! We bought 2 pies to take with us . Probably the best pies we’ve ever had. Cookies for the kids . (They loved your pick a number game ).Thank you Earl !! You turned a possible nightmarish start to our vacation into a wonderful experience. Your food was amazing and your hospitality was above and beyond. It was a pleasure meeting you.
