Total Care Transport Services

My family used Total Care Transport last night to take my mom, who has late stage cancer, from the hospital (OTMH) to her home (Oakville). The 2 employees (man and a woman) that transferred her were thoughtful and pleasant. They treated her like a person and not freight. They were also very fast on this day, and arrived at the hospital within 45 minutes of calling. The nurses said sometimes this can take up to 24 hours. I see some reviews where people were upset about costs. They told me the cost up front ($180 including tax). My mom lives 15 minutes away from the hospital. The total time it took was about an hour from arrival at the hospital, placing her on the stretcher, taking her home, getting her up the stairs and placing her in her bed. If others like myself are trying to make a decision on something as important ss a loved one, I found the experience was excellent and the price to be fair. I share this so if others are in the same situation they'll have one more piece of info to help them along.

An excellent wheelchair transport service to deal with. They transported my 89 year old mother from Oakville Hospital to her new LTC home and offered to let me ride with her, then drove me back to my car at the hospital! I will certainly use them again!

This company is the worse money grabbing transport company!! Every company my 90 yr old mom has used to get around gives u a waiting period at the appointmant and then charges hourly. This one even if you take 5 mins it charges $45 an hour! I wasnt aware of this charge it is ridiculous to charge a bedridden senior $355 to a hospital appointment that took 15 mins.!! the people that took my mom out didnt even know how to take her out they took 30mins just to leave her house. I would not recommend them and be careful of all the hidden costs!!!There are cheaper options that I've used before and more equipped!

The married couple (Kelly and Jamie, we think) that works here transported my mom from Georgetown to Hamilton hospital. They were AMAZING. They were so kind and respectful to her warning her about any bumps and or issues along the route. They always checked in with her tobsee if she was okay /too warm / too cold etc. They pointed out cool things along the drive into hamilton to take her mind off any pain she was feeling.These two were amazing and a blessing, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Wonderful people, very reasonable price point, professional and compassionate. Treated my bedridden father like each of their own! Highly recommend this company and crew to any family in need for this kind of service. This is the fourth time hiring them and they have always exceeded expectations, go above and beyond expected. was not informed of prices when calling to get my grandfather transported I was told once before in town services would roughly be $60 plus hst so I didnt think it would be too much more from Milton to the home on queensway in Mississauga (45 minute drive) when looking at my grandfathers bank account total care charged him 197.00 which is basically theft of a senior in my eyes. I should have been informed of cost and will never use them again. There are cheaper options if anyone has elderly parents or grandparents on very limited income!

WOW, This is unreal, I can't believe a 15 minutes ride from Oakville Trafalgar Hospital to my home in Oakville would be so expensive in the amount of $271.20 charged by Total Care Transport Service, I was told by my nurse at the hospital that I would have to pay for the Ambulance to take me home, but she didn't know what the cost would be, I thought that the hospital would have billed me for the service, as they have done with the regular Ambulance service through OHIP, however that's not the case. This is a money making grab service for private companies in our Health Care Service. I did Speak with a Brian at the company he suggested that I should call other companies who provide the same service as his company to compare the rate of service, I decline to call other companies it wasn't necessary to do so. Our Health Care Service is on a downward spiral due to Privatization, this practice must stop.

Thank you, Total Care! It's a dark day when a family member needs transport to hospice. My dad has cancer, advanced dementia and zero mobility. The two amazing men that came for him yesterday didn't just lift his body, they lifted his spirit. My family will be forever grateful for the compassionate care he received. Thank you so much!
