We were extremely impressed with how thorough Mike was and that he photographed everything that he found. As a first time home buyer, the tips that he provided on home maintenance as we were going through the house with him were particularly helpful. What really impressed us though, was after the inspection, he suspected that our realtor (who was double ending the deal) was being dishonest (hiding a dead mouse from the sellers, despite the fact that we had pictures of it) and he immediately gave us a call to make sure we knew what was going on. We would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Mike did three home inspections for us, all within one month, and we would hire him for a fourth without hesitation! He takes detailed notes, will answer any and every question you ask, takes photos of everything, and leaves you feeling confident with a wealth of information. He is also the preferred home inspector of our agents, for good reason. Thanks for everything Mike, we loved working with you!

Would definitely recommend Home Pro Inspections to anyone! Mike was fantastic. His attention to detail is second to none. He made sure to take his time with every aspect of the inspection, and further he also ensured we understood all of the issues he came across. He looked in nooks and crannies, under boards, trampled through snow and went up again the cold winter weather to get a complete view. 5 stars.

As first-time home buyers, Mike at HomePro made us feel very comfortable with the inspection process. We can definitely understand why (including his rating on Google reviews).Mike showed up on time (in fact, a little early) and explained absolutely everything as he performed the inspection. This was great for us, as we are first time home buyers and were initially feeling a bit nervous.To say that Mike is thorough is an understatement. He is well organized (provides you with a binder sorted by several categories such as structure/electrical/HVAC, etc) along with ratings/findings for each (and detailed instructions for each section). He explains every single finding on-the-spot and any questions as he's doing his inspection. I used Mike's services for 30Day Tarion inspection of my townhome and I was not impressed. He was in and out in less than 2 hours that included writing the report as well. He did not find many issues and I was happy until I realized he just did a superficial inspection and missed so many things which a seasoned inspector like him should have found. To name a few uneven tiles, chipped quartz, mismatching door handles and mismatching window cranks which are really important for 30 day inspection.He ignored squeaking stairs and on asking mentioned that yeah you can report it. While paying a really high prices for those 2 hours I received a very mediocre service. He may be good for the older houses but I would not recommend him for a 30 day inspection.

First time home buyer, Mike (HomePro Inspections) stood out from all the other inspectors based on his very positive reviews (and his take down of the one negative one!). Called him up and was able to arrange an inspection on short notice. True to the reviews, Mike is extremely professional and knowledgeable. Despite us having little house knowledge, he took the time to point out features that were a concern and even gave maintenance tips as he brought us around for the inspection. We contacted HomePro Inspections by email very last minute, requiring a home inspection in Ottawa within 2 days. Mike responded in no time at all and accommodated our request. We met with him at the house and he took us through the inspection process (about 3 hrs). We were able to ask questions throughout (and believe me, as first time home buyers, we asked and asked) and he was very knowledgeable and helpful with his responses. He took pictures and sent them to us afterwards, and the best part -- he provided us with a binder of his report. The binder is broken down by categories (plumbing, interior, etc.) and Mike took the time to write out his comments right there and then with us. Rather than having to wait a week or two for a report, we left the inspection with it in hand, and we can refer back to it at any point. We definitely recommend HomePro Inspections for those buying a home and wanting an honest and efficient home inspection. Thanks again, Mike!
