Seoul Fried Chicken Calgary

I have had Seoul Fried Chicken in Edmonton and Calgary and it has always been a good treat. On this occasion, we had the Big Seoul Set (golden kari chicken, mac and cheese pesto salad, and sesame potato slaw), garlic soy fried chicken, and a corn fritter.Overall, the golden kari chicken had a nice sweet curry flavor and was not overpowering. The soy garlic on the other hand was more of a sweet soy flavor and could have used more garlic flavor for me. The chicken was crispy on the outside and the dark meat was tender. The white meat chicken pieces tended to be on the dry side and a lot of the juice and tenderness of this meat was not there.The sides: The pesto mac and cheese was the most stand out - the pasta was a bit cheesy and the pesto flavor rounded it out. The corn fritter was like a mildly chewy bread ball (which I enjoyed but could use more corn) and the condensed milk dip was enjoyable.Maybe slightly off on this trip to SFC but still a good fried chicken stop!

Dry to the bone! 100% not freshly cooked. DO NOT DESERVE ITS NAME SEOUL.

This is the best fried chicken I have ever had! I had the onion lover, kale salad and fries, all of which were fantastic. I can't wait to try the rest of their menu items.

The wait wasn’t long for takeout, there dinning room wasn’t open yet. I ordered 10 piece bbq, 10 piece cilantro lime, fries and soy garlic sauce. Also confirmed my order at the window to make sure it was correct as they had issues with previous customer. 10 pieces a lot, 20 can feed a family. They had a person waiting nearly an hour, gave him a 20 percent discount, almost their minimum tip option.After opening my first box, the cilantro lime, i was pleasantly surprised with a batch of cilantro placed on top of my crispy chicken. Not sure the purpose, because eating raw cilantro and taking a bite of chicken wasnt tasty. If you dont fill your mouth with cilantro and bite the chicken, the chicken as NO Lime or cilantro flavor. I actually think there was no lime because there was no trace of itThe fries were good, just how i like them, home made fried with good amount of salt. I then opened the soy garlic sauce i purchased only to find out its just honey mustard, its yellow and has no taste of soy or garlic. Just the label marked soy. Yum.The best part of the meal was the bbq chicken. Very different than the usual kbbq flavour which is usually too sweet, too sticky. These however, were a nice change it had a nice mix of korean bbq with western bbq in a slightly lighter sauce than traditional k bbq sauce.I got tons of left overs for the next two maybe 3 days.

Surprisingly quick service of food after ordering, no problem ordering. I like the price of the big Seoul, plenty to eat. The salad options are great, chicken is crispy (depends on sauce) and justly juicy, fries are good.I ordered cilantro lime, kale ceasar, and fries. Cilantro lime fried chicken was crispy, with cilantro lime sauce on side which was amazing with it. My friend ordered the BBQ, it was crispy but since it's covered in sauce it loses some of that, still good.Would definitely recommend to anyone that can eat chicken.

The lady at the front was friendly, and the service was good. Maybe I had higher expectations because it's called Seoul fried chicken, but their chicken was very mediocre. I'm not sure if the cook knows but the legs and wings should be cooked longer than breast. When I bit into the drumstick it was soggy, and still chewy. The breasts were ok.

The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide range of flavors to choose from. The only reason I'm deducting a star is that some of the chicken portions were served cold, which was a bit disappointing.Apart from that minor hiccup, the taste of the fried chicken was outstanding! Each bite was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.I also want to commend the staff for their exceptional friendliness and hospitality.I will certainly be returning in the future to try more!

The Chicken was good! Juicy and crispy. You get your food from the take out window. The service was fast. The indoor dining area wasn’t ready when I went there but we could still enjoy the outdoor patio.

Best Fried chicken in the city hands down! No question. Their sides are also cool and interesting. I have had the SFC BBQ with the pesto mac n cheese. Their fries are good when hot and their corn fritters are amazing.Had this in Edmonton first then in Calgary and it's consistently good. Their portions are the largest. Worth the money. Will try their other flavors but the important thing is their chicken is cooked thoroughly. 10/10 food.At the time of visit they were only open for a week so no indoor dining but that wasn't a problem for me, I brought it home and enjoyed it.
