I can’t recommend this clinic enough. I worked with the midwives during pregnancy, birth and postpartum care and I feel like I got the best care possible. Each of the midwives and the Naturopath that cared for me during my checkups were so helpful, knowledgeable, approachable, professional, caring, collaborative, and warm. They put me at such ease and were very respectful and attentive to my concerns and wishes in my birth plan.During delivery, the midwife that was with me (Alison) was incredible! She was a solid guide through labor and delivery, with such confidence and great leadership in the delivery room.After delivery, they made regular home-visits for checkups, and were incredibly helpful in troubleshooting the struggles I was having with breastfeeding and recovering from delivery.Both my husband and I are strong advocates for the midwifery model of care and can’t believe that so few people know about midwifery and this amazing team specifically.I will for sure be working with them for my next pregnancies.Thank you, Isabel, Fallon, Hazel, Misol, Kathy, Alison, and the everyone else at the clinic, from the depths of my heart, for helping my husband and I have such an incredible birth experience.

Good staff, but they don’t care about your time. Even if you make an appointment, they make you sit in the waiting area for at least 30-40 mins with your newborn. Very frustrating!

I had such an amazing experience with Family Health Clinic. They supported me and my decisions through out pregnancy, and I had the most amazing VBAC experience with Allie, and such wonderful care afterwards with many phone call followups to ease me of all my concerns! Will definitely try to have future babies with them, as well as recommend the clinic to all my friends! thank yo guys so much for all of the support!

Everyone at this clinic is very kind and professional..I became a patient of Dr Ramas last December ..she genuinely cares and made my experience very positive. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who is seeking Naturopath care.

Magena and the rest of the staff at the Family Health Clinic have been so helpful. My family and I travel from Vancouver to see Dr. Cathy Carlson-Rink and everyone has gone above and beyond to ensure that we are well taken care of.

I enjoyed my experience at Family Health Clinic and would recommend them for midwifery care, however there could be some improvements made to the overall experience which I’ve listed below and hope family Health Clinic reads and takes into consideration:1. Provide a handout of the midwives, their names and a bit about them. Context: the day after I delivered my son I met a brand new midwife I didn’t get the chance to meet before. She was excellent, however felt a bit foreign and not someone I had the pleasure of meeting before2. Try to be consistent on information — part of the experience is you see different midwives, and they have different opinions but this happened multiple times — here are some examples: first example: I had an emergency c-section, I was told to walk the next day, however a different midwife told me to stay in bed for 24 hours and not get up. Second example: I was told I could get a sweep at 39 weeks, I asked for it however a different midwife said no and didn’t recommend until 40 weeks. It was confusing, annoying and honestly did impact the experience getting different info multiple times3. Timing of critical information, I was told some very serious information about my son (which luckily was not true or a concern) while I was extremely high in recovery at the hospital. This information could have waited until the next day - timing is everything especially to first time moms, and ones that have gone through the trauma of an emergency C-section.Again, to reiterate, I would absolutely recommend Family Health Clinic for their midwifery care to moms - Cathy and Fallon are two of the best in the business and your in great hands with these two ladies!

I got to experience some post-natal midwifery care from this clinic, and I was very impressed! Super cool that they come to YOU at your house. Worked with 2 different midwives who were both very kind, knowledgeable, and professional. It was interesting to experience the different mode of care delivered by midwives as opposed to maternity physicians; a lot more personalized and intimate care. If you are looking for a midwife for natal or post-natal care, definitely check this clinic out as an option.

I can't explain how thankful I am to have Cathy Carlson-Rink as my midwife. Not only is she a Mom herself, she is also a Midwife and a Naturopathic doctor. I HIGHLY recommend Family Health Midwives. Thank you Cathy and her whole team!!

I’m so grateful to the Family Health midwives for ensuring a great experience with my second pregnancy. I wish I had opted them with my first as well instead of OB/GYN. Cathy helped me with my vaginal delivery and took utmost care of me & my needs. She left no stones unturned to make the experience as natural as possible! Thanks to the entire team of midwives who checked on me during the last tough days of my pregnancy as well as providing the best postpartum care. Can never thank them enough. I would totally recommend them to all to-be & new moms!
