With this place I think it’s a matter of location and what you prioritize. Was the food good? Sure it was. Was the quantity decent for the price? Probably not, as it wasn’t that filling. Would we find some place better with the same quality food in lower price and more quantity in a different place? Most probably yes! But considering where it is located at Yorkville, i will put the price part aside and say the vibe is great and the food was pretty tasty. So if you happen to pass by it and craving korean food I would recommend it!

Went there for early dinner. They managed to seat us even though it was fully booked which was nice of them. It is a tight small place. We ordered some makis and teriyaki chicken. The makis tasted good (especially spizy salmon and tempura) however some were loosely rolled and would break down easily when held. The chicken in the teriyaki was a bit dry and hard. Overall it is an average place but I don’t think I’ll be having sushi there again..

And in a very unlike me manner, we also didn’t share at the Share Bar. It didn’t stop me from ordering the salmon aburi sushi ($20) to start, the rice adorned with thick cuts of salmon topped with lime aioli. At KOKO, there was just enough of the mayo to take on a hint of smokiness and to add a splash of creaminess without making the sushi greasy. I would have liked some stronger finishing ingredients to create more interest – like the customary jalapeno slice, a dab of chopped olives, or even a sprinkling of green onions. The aburi was good but lacked pizazz.Based on my friend’s recommendation (and plenty of other reviewers), I had to try KOKO’s roasted miso black cod ($36). It’s a solid dish but with a few changes could be even better: including some of the miso sauce on the side for those who want a more flavourful fish or to pour over the steamed rice, removing some of the cod’s bones to make it easier to cut into (even the large shards were left behind), and roasting the skin longer so that it becomes crispier.Still, I appreciated the decent sized piece of black cod, which was fresh and flaky and there was a nice variety of vegetables included to create a balanced and healthy meal. If only there was more seasoning on the vegetables that seemed to be merely steamed.

We absolutely love koko share bar. Our family comes here about once a week. Our favorite dishes are the Sashimi dinner-tako sushi and hamachi sushi-volcano roll! We can never get enough! Thank you so much to the very attentive staff there, you always make our meal extra special.

One of the most less talked about, less raved about sushi places ever! Amazing vibe, super small, super intimate, super tasty! This cutesy snug place in Yorkville Avenue was quite the find for me! Love going back!

I don’t think this spot is rated high enough. I thought the dishes were great and the service and atmosphere were lovely. Great spot for bites after work or a meal with friends.

They ruined my date from when I arrived.I booked it a week ago and when I arrived, they gave me it. There is no table for two people and cannot see each other face to face. My chair is even closer to the exit door to smell other peoples breath and get all freezing cold. It place is foyer! not supposed to be used for people to eat something

The food was poor value (small portions for the price) but was acceptable quality-wise; however, the service was absolutely atrocious. The server kept rushing us to leave and took away food/cutlery before we’d even finished. One person in our party can’t eat many items, and our waiter kept implying our friend that she should’ve ordered more.
